Who knows, but it would appear we lost a big window, it may not be the only window though.

circa 2009 Miles will never beat bama again
Miles will never beat florida again
Miles will never beat bama and florida in the same year
Miles will never win the West again
Miles will never win the SEC again
Miles will never have less than 2 losses
Miles will never play for a national championship again
you would think they'd get tired of looking like idiots.

Unfortunately- it appears we will have to allow for 1-2 losses every year because of idiotic in-game coaching decisions.

Maybe in about 3 years. With our crazy coaching on the offense!

1 loss has gotten Alabama in the title games twice.

0-1 is the number that keeps you perennially in the hunt. 1-2 is too much anymore with the current structure.

Maybe the playoffs will help that number become more relevant...we'll see.

technically our window must have closed in 2010, because nobody thought we would be that good last year either. Why was that? Because we had a young defense. Sound familiar?

No I really dont- Any great SEC team will lose 1-2 games per year by running into a buzzsaw or two. Add that to our in-game coaching and, well, you know the rest. Hmm- maybe I do have it figured out.

2012 was supposed to be our year

No it wasnt.

2011. Sr qb, game in nola, favorable sec schedule in odd years.

The season was mirror image of 03 and 07.

2012. Breaking in a new qb, playing UF, Tamu, Auburn, Arkansas all on the road. Bama at home, which we are historically worse at home against them.

Play offs would help teams from sec. This would ensure you wouldnt necessarily have to win the conference to get into the play offs. UF would have made it this year.

Also we wouldnt be talking about the players being let down for losing one game and know they still have a shot and the bowl game isnt meaningless.

lets just hope the playoff system doesn't eliminate 2 loss plus teams

Our best opportunities are the sugar bowl years. I realize we are moving to a playoff but I still expect our best shot to be in 2015-16

if notre dame was in the sec, rest assured they wouldn't be playing for the nat'l championship.if lsu doesn't get a real OC, and if miles won't distance himself from offensive playcalling, we won't have to worry playing for that championship either.

Agreed, but I put 2011 right there with them, especially considering the turnovers we caused and the return game we had with TM.
