That looks like one of those "assault" 22s.

Grew up shooting a couple of these:
High-Standard Victor
They're accurate, but a ways out of your price range.

My dad has a Victor. Man that thing is easy to shoot! (top of the picture)

I have a sr22 that I shoot quite often but I am thinking of getting a 22/45 lite. My LGS has one in the case he is trying to get rid of.

Those of you with MKIII, is it as hard to break down as the reviews say? They're saying you need a fricking mallet to remove barrel..?

I shot the Smith and Wesson M&P22 a while back that a buddy has and it is a great little gun. I owned the Ruger Mark 2 and loved it too. Someone stole it. When I get ready to replace it I will prolly go with the Smith and Wesson M&P22.

Yes, it is....

I guess so, but OTOH, I've never removed the barrel....successfully....
Lots of good guns mentioned so far. Hard to go wrong whichever version you prefer of the Browning Buckmark or Ruger Mark 3 (including the 22/45). The Ruger Mark 1 was the first gun I bought for myself many, many years ago. It's been a good gun. Lately, I've beeen considering a Ruger 22/45 Lite. That's a SHARP looking gun
I don't have a Walther P22, but I've shot a friend's. It was not very accurate. In addition, I really dislike the way the safety mechanism on the slide operates (and the reason I'll prolly never buy one) as it's the OPPOSITE of most other safeties. For example, using the 1911 as the norm, one deactivates the safety by swiping it downward. But w/ the P22, swiping the safety downward will activate it. One of the reasons to shoot a 22LR is for inexpensive practice. I'd hate to practice w/ a gun that operates the opposite of my other guns.

I just got done doing some blasting with my henry in the backyard
It's ironic that the littlest dinkiest caliber known to man is the absolute most fun to shoot. I wish I had a 55 gallon drum full of CB shorts.

I can't wait to get mine... Found a buckmark laffy for $350, trying to convince mrs. Jack that I "need" it.
Zero luck on finding a used one...

Question.. BUCKMARK STAINLESS STANDARD URX
The gun was bought in 2007, has less than 1000 rd threw it, and like new condition per the owner. Worth $350?
