one of my really good friend's sister did a bunch of stuff that this chick supposedly did
I dont think it's based off of her, but holy shite, the stories I've heard her tell are just crazy

I've read Daines part in homeland is based on the chick in charge of catching Bin Ladin.

I think we might know each other

I've read an article on yahoo about the person it was based off of. The link is probably long gone and I don't feel like searching. The article claims she isn't a popular person within the CIA or whatever branch she's with

The single-minded focus that helped her persist in the years-long search has hurt her since, the Post reported. When she was given one of the CIA's highest awards, and dozens of other people were given lesser awards, she hit "reply all" to an e-mail announcing the recipients and wrote, “You guys tried to obstruct me. You fought me. Only I deserve the award.”
she sounds like a boss
not sure how it went down but if it was in any way similar to the movie then she deserves to act like a bitch and have a nice lil frick you attitude
reading more into it, it seems they exagerated the whole lone wolf aspect of it but in a movie sense it makes a more entertaining story so i guess you have to juggle the truth with what appeals to the audience...

Hollywood Myths vs. the Real CIA
When you think about the CIA, does a famous British super spy come to mind? Are images of shootouts and high speed chases running through your head? Do you imagine CIA officers chasing terrorists through the American heartland, as seen on popular TV shows?
While the CIA may have cool spy tools that even James Bond would be proud to use, such as a robot fish that samples water and insect-sized listening devices, the CIA is a lot different than Hollywood portrays it to be. CIA.gov wants to share some of the facts with you.
Myth: Everyone at the CIA is a spy.
Myth: The CIA spies on US citizens.
Myth: The CIA is above the law.
Myth: The CIA arrests people who break the law.
Myth: The CIA makes foreign policy.
They say "NO" to all.

He has a point though usually. I, as a conservative, find it hilarious how scared some of these people are to watch a movie that tells an opposing view point. They act like being a liberal is some fricking contagious disease.

I still just cringe when I hear the title. I know it really isn't that big of a deal, but it just seems like it would not have been hard to do a little research and get the correct saying. No one (that I am aware of) in the military says zero dark thirty. They say oh dark thirty.

I got hell from all of my Republican friends for mentioning Park Avenue: Money, Power & the American Dream and Inside Job.
Both of them rip Republicans and Democrats (especially Obama) but they won't watch them.

The Libs actually hate the movie because it shows how interrogation was used to gain the information to find Bin Laden, claiming interrogation did not lead to such information...
