Yes. A lower is a lower. They are all just about made from the same aluminum. All they do is house a bunch of parts.

Carson, please explain what makes a quality lower. Lowers, for the most part, are a commodity. If they are in spec there is little to no difference between 2 brands that is not purely cosmetic. I wouldn't be surprised if Noveske and DPMS even use some of the same exact forgings.

Still a great deal, but the upper on that other one was better. Hence the $50 dollar difference.

2 words. resale value.
in my experience, if you ever want to sell a rifle, having a quality lower makes all the difference. you can't have a noveske or DD upper on a dpms lower. that's retarded. the name is important to people, and im not excluding myself. im a brand whore.

BCM rocks. Ordered my barrel and upper late last night. Shipped today. I will come back and let y'all know what that blemished upper looks like. From the reviews I optimistic that it will be pretty good and pass as new. If its too bad I will not be putting it on.

I would be willing to make a sizable bet that DPMS holds its value better than Noveske as a percentage of purchased price. I'll even Parlay that with...it is far easier to sell a used $600 rifle than a used $2500 rifle.
Even if the percentages were the same, a 10% loss in value in a DPMS that cost $650 is $65...on a Noveske at $2500 it's $250. The DPMS would have to suffer an almost 40% loss in value from being used to compare to the money lost reselling the Noveske at a 10% decrease. That means you would be selling the DPMS for $400. A $400 DPMS, would get picked up faster than your mom at reggies after 2 appletinis.
So, beside "resell value"...what is an actually legitimate reason Noveske is better than a DPMS, PSA, Spikes, Surplus Ammo, Aero or any other "cheap" lower.

Keep the DMPS and pick up another "cheap" lower to build out into something else. Some of us like to see how expensive they can build a rifle. I like to see how good I can build one for the money.

For me it's about having something not a lot of others have. You can go pick up a spikes or DPMS anywhere. You don't see DDs, knights, LMT, OR A Larue etc around that much.
I'm not a huge brand whore but I like having nice things. I probably don't need a new GMC and could get away with an old Chevy but frick it, I like nice shite.
