I saw some of the first season, but am starting from the beginning. Does it jump the shark at some point?

No, I haven't felt that way about it at all. The crazy stuff they get into seems feasible for people who have chosen the path they are on.

I don't even remember the specifics, but I quit watching Sons Of Anarchy early in the third season because I thought it jumped. I watched some of this season and thought it had "calmed down" a little bit.

Just caught up to this season. Consistently great show. No shark jumping at all.

I'm in the middle of season two. Amazing writing. It's strange though. To me, the hardest thing to watch in the show is Walt lying to his wife.

The writing just keeps getting better. I wish I could watch it for the first time again.

No, it's very credible. Some of the best writing and acting on television. Enjoy the ride.

I dk what's wrong with me, but I couldn't get hooked. I tried, I'm mid way through the 3rd season but I'm having to make myself watch episodes bc I'd rather watch other shows

Just don't start cooking yourself. While you may have the knowledge, you can view this as a cautionary tale.

Started watching a month ago or so and am now on season 3. Everyone says it only gets better from here, and I can't wait.

Same here. I ordered it from NetFlix, watched season 1 and I didn't get the big deal.

Some parts I thought were pretty cool but all in all, it didn't do much for me.

I canceled the rest of the discs. It just didn't appeal to me overall.

people have said the fifth season of BB is not as good as previous ones but I did not notice.

I'm glad that the 5th season was split in half (second half will air next year)

I like the fifth season.

Can't wait for the finish.

To the posters: if you haven't watched THE WIRE check that out next. Extremely good series and each season is solid.

That's intentional. The writers aim to make Walt unlikable and he becomes so more and more.

I also jumped on the bandwagon about a month ago and I have watched all the way through season 4. I had a pause and recently found season 5. I haev now watched two episodes of season 5.

You can argue that the evidence room tampering with magnet and great train robbery were jumping the shark IMO.

In my opinion, season 1 was very good. Then season 2 was great. Season 3 and 4 were absolutely amazing.. I thought it peaked at the last 4 episodes of season 4. I was worried about season 5 not being able to continue the greatness.. but I though season 5 was awesome too and I think the last 2 episodes of season 5 are some of the best in the entire series.. especially the season finale.
