I was beginning to think we'd see a mass exodus of underclassmen.
There always seems to be some that stay. Spears and Webster came back. Dorsey in 2007, Montgomery this year.

Hope he comes back but I'd think the injury risk is too high for a DL.

Well, given that he's an attorney, he must be Bennie Logan's future agent.

I hope to God he stays. I'd love to be able to rotate Logan, Ego, and Freak along with them adding in Mickey and Quinten plus other incoming DTs. Logan staying for a senior season would do that #18 justice.
After the season Logan had, you'd think he'd want to spend 1 more year to try and improve himself a bit. He just didn't quite have the year most expected. Solid yes, stand out-ish? No. He's just a mid-round pick right now.
Keeping Bennie Logan will keep the redshirt on Gilmore IMO, which is a good thing. I like to see the undersized guys on the line get a year in S&C before being unleashed against SEC linemen. If Logan leaves, I dont see how we dont play Gilmore some. We need a 5th guy in the rotation because 1 of the 4 in front will get hurt at some point and I've heard Mickey Johnson hasn't panned out at all yet.

Injury to his shoulder in spring practice and the surgery afterward held him back for most of the summer workouts. He's one of the strongest players on the team and I really hope he has a great spring/offseason next year.

I love how he basically just said he's coming back, but yet we have retards in here trying to tell everyone he's gone. God our fans are hilarious.

I'm not siding one way or the other on this one but PLENTY of players who declare for the draft say similar things every single year.

He and Simon are 3rd- 4th rounders. They need to come back.
I love the enthusiasm of Tiger Fans, but a little perspective is needed:
Kyle Williams = 5th Round to Bills, and Kyle used to blow shite up in the center of the line all the time, Bennie not so much this past season.
Chad Lavalais = 5th Round to Falcons, and Chad was a badass his senior year, Bennie while solid is/was not that type of badass.
RJF = 7th Round to 49ers, and when he played he was a disruptive force.
Love Bennie and his play at LSU, but he is not a 3rd or 4th round selection IMHO, late round is more probable.
As for Simon, he is not NFL ready at this stage in his development.
Both need another year at the college level, do they stay - I don't know, but I think it would be wise for each to return for their Senior season.

You are so wrong. Players get drafted based on potential. I would take a bet for any amount of money if Logan comes out that he gets drafted by the end of the 4th round.

Reid and Mingo could benefit from more college playing time. Mingo was jumping offsides all season long and Reid, especially late in the season, was taking terrible angles to the ball.
Do you think another year is enough time to teach Reid better angles and Mingo to not jump offsides?
It's like there's a bunch of women on this site.

Here are the draft prospects according to cbssports.com.
FWIW, Simon and Logan aren't listed.
Mingo #12
Sam #16
Reid #24
Minter #72
LINK
It's a strong year for DTs and an even stronger one for LBs.
