With all the talent on this team, it's a damn shame. No love no respect, fvck them all!

A little. Reid was probably the best candidate and although he made all-SEC I don't think he played his best ball this year.

Not really after the way the season played out. Minter is the only guy truely deserving of all-american status

Everyone on defense took a step back after the Bama loss

Brad Wing had a claim with how he was punting to end the year.

Other than that, aside from Minter, no one on defense should be considered.

On offense, Collins next year then Turner the following year will be considered. Jeremy Hill possibly.

Maybe everyone will come back NEXT season since they didn't get All-American? That's the only silver lining I can find. Fact is LSU was pre-season #1 or #2 and lost 2 games, didn't win their division, and didn't get invited to BCS bowl. Not surprised at all. You have to win to get your props. LSU lost 2 games. That's reality in college football like it or not.

Minter is the only legit candidate this year. Reid played like crap in too many games.

Curse of being talented at all positions. Noone stands out.

Blessing of being talented at all positions. Almost all of them have a legit shot at making the NFL.

Not totally. We have talent on this team, yes. But this year, and based entirely on the numbers of injuries, penalties, and drop-off in play execution, which translated into what looked like unnecessary struggle games and 2 losses, my impression of this year's LSU team is one of two (or both) possibilities:
1. They were under-coached.
2. They underachieved.

As weptiger said along this same thread so very well:
quote:

"2 losses and too many close games against weaker teams left voters with the impression that this is an average LSU team."

No, name one position where we had the best player in the nation at that position? Lot of good players, but no all-american 1st teamers IMO

We had plenty of talent on this team, but the talent would have had to play like All-Americans in order for us to be undefeated, and we are not. It's nice to get All-Americans obviously, but there wasn't really any player on the team who screamed All-American like a Patrick Peterson or Honey Badger. I agree that Eric Reid had a good shot, seeing as how he already made the team, but he just didn't play his best ball this year. He also took some of the worst angles I have seen a free safety take on running plays. Real original post here...I know.

The only ones who really had a shot were or D-ends or Reid. I'll put it nicely and say they were underwhelming.

not really...but some of the delusional people who have 8-10 juniors declaring for the draft need to wake up. How can LSU have as many players leave who expect to be drafted in the first or second round. It aint gonna happen. Believe it or not there are a few other very talented players who can and will be drafted. Quite honestly ANY junior who leaves is making a bad decision.
