whoaaaa calm down there DC. Is this you or did TTP highjack your account?

Debateable hire IMO. He is a good coach, I just don't know how he fits into the SEC. This is a whole different animal down here.

Hey DC long time no see

I was responding to someone who called Bret Bielema a "Les Miles lite without the hardware". Well, he does have hardware and Les Miles did not have said hardware in 2005.
that was me and don't mean to say he has no hard ware but Les for sure has accomplished more. Also Alvarez built that school into what Bielema is coaching today; Miles took over Okie State which had one winning conference record since 1988 and built them into relevancy in a pretty short period of time.

Apparently this has been in the works for a couple of days at least. It really does make you wonder if all that other stuff was made up by the BAC.

Danny West@DannyWest1:

Wisconsin's recruits started hearing rumors of Bielema to Arkansas as early as last Saturday.

Danny West is an Arkansas Rivals guy.

I have to think he does. Hell he offered and accepted a commit from a kid just yesterday and its starting to sound like this was pretty much done yesterday. Could show he already knew he was in.

Miles was given tons of talent by Simmons. Simmons was lazy and gotten tired. But whatever.

This is like the Holtz hire actually.

This hire feels like Arkansas wanted to hire a guy who coaches in the style of Boom,Les,Saban and this is the best shite they could come up with.

Bielema is prob 7th or 8th best coach in the league coaching at the 7th or 8th best program in the league so it's a good fit, imo.

basking in the afterglow of that one winning conference record since 1988 could lead even the best of coaches to grow a little complacent.

If only "From Good to Great" had been written back then Simmons might still be coaching today.

Do you even remember who all was left on that team from Simmons?

McQuarters
Woods bothers
There were OL and RB also. The cupboard wasn't bare like your implying.

Not sure where the Bielema can't recruit comes from but Monte Ball a St. Louis native.

Arkansas under Hatfield and Nutt hit the Parkway and McClure schools. Also Wisconsin went to Cali and New Jersey to get people.

Beilema is a grade A douche but a very good coach,
in adddition to being a jerk off he is a very good elvaulator of talent every season he has 2 or 3 stud players that were not highly recruited and/or walk ons

Correct Wisconsin has had a pipeline to the New Jersey suburbs outside of Philly for a couple decades Bielema was promoted from within when Alvarez retired

when did I say the cupboard was bare or even implied it. Les Miles achieved basically unheard of success at the time for Okie State. WTF does it matter if Coach Joe Dumbfrick before him recruited a few players here and there if he couldn't do shite with them? Whatever point it is you're trying to make seems irrelevant and off topic.
