Imagine American horror story on HBO.
That show pushes the envelope more than the walking dead imo.

The writing for the Walking Dead is anything but poor. I'd put this season thus far up there with anything on any TV network right now.

ould The Walking Dead have been better on HBO?
Of course it would. But most things would. More money, less restrictions, etc.
And I agree with some that it's not just about tits and cuss words...there's just more leeway in general on pay TV.
I don't have HBO though, so I'm cool with it being on AMC.

Aside from more gore cursing and t and a, nope.
and I'm glad it's not on HBO, because that means I have a reasonable shot at watching it.

Also, great call on the no commercials thing.
And to the point about it would only be 10 episodes...it's only like 16 right now, right? And HBO episodes are legit hours (at worst 58 or 59 minutes), as opposed to like 40-minute episodes on regular TV. So you could tell more story in one episode and progress further even though the total season minutes would be lower. Also, it wouldn't have to be limited to ten episodes (I know some of HBO's shows are though).

I disagree, HBO has a bad habit of terrible side plots in all of it's shows...
This show stays very focused on the group...if you notice that's why season two at the farm was weaker, they tried to ease in drama with a bunch of little petty side stories...they could have done without them and moved the plot along...HBO would have 5 groups by now with dumb stuff going on in three of them

If this were on HBO there would be some form of overplayed homosexual plot line like in every HBO show, so keep it on AMC

Yeah, and the baby would have been aborted...
And one of the added teams would have made a statement about guns...

Bob Costas would already be a zombie in this world.

yes and nothing against AMC or anything but just about everything would be better on HBO.
FX is my favorite non cable premium network to show gritty shite, that being said, AMC has gotten away with a lot.

Funding would be higher, which would have meant better actors (sorry some of these actors are really terrible)
Just curious, which actors do you find poor?
FWIW I find Maggie or Hershel to be the most talented actors.

Did I say the writing for WD was poor? Say what you will but nothing on television comes close to HBO original programming.
