I think we'll actually be better next year. Faulk is back and Turner/Alexander will improve even more. I also like Porter at center. I think he could end up being what Pouncey was for florida.

Williford is toast; Turner was a huge upgrade. Alexander was better than Hurst but has to work on getting his knees bent especially in pass protection.

if you say so then it MUST be true. but really, you have no idea what you're talking about

I don 't think Washington will be back. Hurst didn't want to switch sides.

Expect Pocic to be in the 2 deep from the moment he steps on campus in January.

it's amazing how we are now beginning to pull in recruits from all over the country.
Pocic from Illinois
Gilmore from North Carolina
Hayden Rettig from California
Dodd and jennings from georgia
Lecouture from Nebraska
Frank Herron from Memphis
Rashard Robinson from Pompano Beach

looked like Turner was an upgrade over Williford to me also. Like the size of next years Oline. Every starter should be over 325lbs with the exception of the center Porter. Who will be backup center?

not sure, miles will have a guy though. two freshman coming in can play center: malone and dodd. I don't know about fehoka though.

OP says championships are won in the trenches but while the O-Line should be better next year (this was a weird one for moving players in and out of the lineup) do any of us expect the D-Line to be improved?

depends on who goes to the draft. i think maclin and hunter are supposed to be pretty good. Jorden allen was also highly recruited. itll be interesting to see how he plays

Vandal really needs to work on his drop, the main reason he's getting beat is he can't get back fast enough wich gives hit to have to turn his shoulders to the end. Worst position for an offensive linemane

Pay attention to the lack of giant tubbies........it's about athleticism and talent.
That pretty well describes Alabama's o-line. In fact, in the Bama games I've watched this year the thing that stands out most is how big and well-conditioned their players are—no fat, flab or excess weight on anyone. I'm guessing their strength and conditioning program is responsible for this.

I don't know, man. One of their linemen was rocking about the gnarliest gut I've ever see on an athlete during the SECCG.
My buddy and I were laughing hard because he was wearing his jersey like a Miami DB circa 1991. All Beer Belly.

But but but....we're slipping into mediocrity.....but but but.....recruiting is down.....but but but....all I can think of is butt.

Also, Pocic is an early enrollee and might be good enough to work his way into the two-deep as well.
Good point. This kid will be a road grader sooner than later for the Tigers.

They should be better than this years line unless we have some unexpected misfortune. I am hoping they work extra on pass protection because Mett is a great QB if he is unpressured. If our line can protect Mett like they all belong in the pro's then LSU will be unstoppable next year. Our run blocking is already great.

Next years line is better if you only consider that Turner, Alexander,& Collins all did great this year PLUS gained an entire season of experience.
That Fehoka is supposed to be very athletic for his size, LSU didnt give up on chasing him and waited till he got his grades worked out.
If Mett can continue to build on what he has done the latter part of the season, our Off. will be our strength next season.

and hopefully Porter works out at Center
People forget how fudged our oline was. Porter has played center and rg this year. Lonergan had back spasm and turner went out a couple of series in the uf game.

Faulk 6'6 323
Williford 6'7 332 / Turner 6'3 306
Porter 6'4 300
Collins 6'5 321
Alexander 6'6 350
The only real concern is Porter replacing Lonergan who can be argued as our most reliable OL. Every other position gains another year of experience and Alexander seems to be an upgrade over Hurst who was second team All-American. If everyone stays healthy, this may be a top 3 offensive line in the country.

Davenport is looking to transfer FWIW.
