Been a while, hasn't it? Must be a fricking coincidence. Of course it is.

Depends on your definition of superstar. Probably JR. ..... ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbanana1.gif)

Depends on how you define "superstar."
Joey Crappell, IMO.

Well... Ridley was a beast and showing it in the NFL as well. Hmmm...Reuben and Lafell have both represented. Ok, in college you're thinking about. How about Jeremy 'the thrill' Hill beating out great backs like Hilliard, Ford, Ware, etc as a Freshman. Not to mention Mett closing games out for us on all those 3rd down conversion passes.
Perhaps you want a Tyler Wilson/Bobby Petrino style offense who's never done anything but embarrass their university???? You mad bro?

I would say it would have to be a 1st team all american skill position player to be even be in the conversation? Who was the last that meets this qualification? Think that would only qualify you for star status. For superstar status you have at the minimum finish in the top 10 for the heisman to be in the discussion.

I felt like Early Doucet and Rueben Randle were both star caliber players at LSU, along with Dwayne Bowe. Maybe not Heisman guys, but major impact players on offense, and both Doucet and Randle made ALL-SEC teams, with Bowe making both All-SEC and All America teams. LSU has produced a lot of very good RB's, but honestly the biggest star at the position I can recal is one I wish I could forget, Cecil the Diesel/rapist Collins. The QB's have all been disappointments while at LSU (except for the incredibly overrated JR) since Heisman candidate Tommy Hodson. That's a shame, considering how many major stars Lousiana has put into the NFL at the QB position in the last 35-40 years.
