Nutt was indeed a horrible recruiter. Petrino is not a great recruiter. Thats not the point I was making.

The point is both were as good if not better Xs and Os coaches which allowed them to do more with less talent. It helped compensate for the lack of talent that they had to work with at Arkansas.

If you don't have the recruits you won't win many games. I don't care how good of a X and O coach you are. Sure, a good X and O coach with a weak talent team may pull a good win out here and there but you got to have the talent to win consistently. And Miles excels at recruiting talent.

You must be disappointed every time you get laid. Unrealistic expectations leave you endlessly unfulfilled.

Letting Les go would be the equivalent to Auburn firing Tubberville. We could go on a spree of unsuccessful coaches. Bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

Only a true idiot will try to discredit a team reaching the BCSCG so he can discredit a coach.

lsu would be stupid to give this goon a penny more for losing 2 games every year and blowing 3 national titles so far in his LSU career.

Wow. What an idiot. How many did Spurrier and Bobby Bowden blow?

When did you become a Les Miles fan over being a LSU fan?

The reason I'm a Miles fan is because I'm an LSU fan. Lets see if you can wrap your head around that shite

On one he got lucky and backed in to with 2 wins because the chips fell our way. This has never happened in the history of the BCS. The other he laid an egg and embarrassed the coaches, players and university. There's more than one way to look at it.

Yep, if you want to find a way to discredit someone you can always find a way. There's no coach that could make you statisfied apparently.

The only way I'd feel comfortable losing Miles is if Chavis took over. Chavis I think would not want his hand in the offense and thus would likely get himself a great offensive coordinator.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to lose miles, but if we had to, I'd be happy with this scenario.

Definitely no raise without another Championship. Maybe a clause like we did with Saban where his contract would be top paid coach in NCAA football after a title.

If Saban wins the NC this year he will the 2nd coach to win 3 in 4 years. The first was Tom Osborne, who went over 20 years before winning his first. LSU certainly had the talent to win more NC's but what people like Max don't get is so did at least 4-5 other teams. They are so focused on LSU they act like LSU is in a vaccuum.

I assume 1 of the ones he thinks Les "blew" was 2006 when we lost 2 road games to top 10 teams, 1 of which did win the NC that year. Another is obviously last year, when Bama was at worst just as good. Funny that they don't discredit Saban for backing in to the BCS CG. Then there's this year when we were 2-2 v top 10 teams and Bama was 1-1, but an harder schedule is not an excuse.

They sound like those spoiled rich brats on MTV, throwing a fit because her catered party isn't perfect. Our coach isn;t the best, so he's not good enough and needs to be replaced. I wonder how many of that crowd wanted Jack Del Rio in 2005? He's not Saban or Meyer, so they are mad.

It's been a weak spot for sure, does that mean he can never improve? The last 3 years QB recruiting has gotten much better.

I'll go to my grave believing that the RP bullshite set us back atleast 3 years at the QB spot. LEE & JJ were 3rd and 4th string going into the 2008 season.

If he excels at recruiting the QB position should always be strong. It is the most important position on the field. Maybe recruits just don't want to come to LSU for fear they would suffer in the LSU passing offense.

Are you just trying to troll?

Jamarcus Russel

Matt Flynn

Ryan Perrilloux (who by the way was the cause of the Jarret Lee/Jordan Jefferson debacle)

Jarret Lee did great last season in my opinion keeping us undefeated every start.

Zach Mettenbeger

and 2 great recruits incoming with Retting and Jennings.
