so why doesn't les do like the rest of us and just walk into his boss's office and ask for a raise ?

This will be interesting to watch as it plays out.

It's like being at the Black Jack table all night and you are up several thousand dollars on a $5 table. You think the rest of the deck is loaded with face cards but the dealer has just as much a chance at the good cards left as you do. So do you take the risk and bet big?

We have much more than a great coach in Les Miles. We have an icon who is not an arse! How can we ever find a better coach who is more committed to his players than Les Miles? Coach Miles is real and no fake. He loves his family and puts on no show. We would be crazy to not support Les Miles until he is ready to go! He's a Tiger for life!

that loss was worth at least 2 wouldn't you say? Not even gameplanning for the biggest game of your career and just laying all hopes that your retard boyfriend would get 400 all purpose yards and the game MVP trophy.

im not disagreeing with it counting for atleast 2

Personally I like Les and what he has done. Also wouldnt be against a few AC changes though. But there is no better coach available and idk if any of the high profile guys we now expect would come

I hope he stays, I do not see LSU getting a homerun type coach right now if he leaves.

Miles hasn't done crap without a great defensive coordinator. There aren't many DC like Pelini or Chavis out there.

i'd rather hire some random coach who has a 5% chance of actually winning a national title. This idiot is going to lose 2 games a year, every year, like he always does when he doesn't have Tyrann Mathieu around to single handedly win every game.

We have had two homerun hires in a row, the chances of getting a third are slim. I'm sure whoever LSU would hire could come in and compete for a title right way be cause the cupboard is FULL. The key is, could they SUSTAIN it. This is what most of these morons who want Miles gone do not realize. Sustaining a program is the true challenge.

If Alleva allows Miles to leave, then in my opinion his arse should just save us all the trouble and start packing himself.

pretty much this unless Les is just committed to leaving, which I don't think is the case

I agree with this, but just because OU and UT made a faulty business decision doesn't mean LSU should.

Look, I agree with you no way this happens.
This would be a lot worse than what Saban did to LSU, and that's why I don't think this deal goes down. miles is not that kind of guy.

I actually agree with doc from the other thread. I would be willing to give miles a modest raise and certain assistants. But I would require him to hire a proven OC.

Don't know if the story is true. If so, why not take a huge pay raise?
