Thanks to (almost) everyone for following the rules and limiting it to 10 bands/artists. I want to see the tough cuts being made.

No particular order:

Def Leppard
Bad Company
Kiss
AC/DC
Pink Floyd
Animals
CCR
Eagles
Aerosmith
Queen

unless I overlooked, I'm surprised I'm the first to mention Bad Company.

They would have been on the next 10 for me, but I followed my own rules. I can't believe I didn't put The Doors, and I didn't notice their exclusion for 3 or 4 pages.

I thought about it, and I do love that band, but had to make the "tough cut". Gotta say, Paul Rogers has probably held up as good or better than any singer from that era.

My favorites from them were not their hits, but two other tracks from "Burnin' Sky":

Heartbeat

Man Needs Woman

The Nice
Hawkwind
Ten Years After
Traffic
Velvet Underground
The Move
XTC
Led Zeppelin
Black Sabbath
Iron Butterfly
Make it 11, I can't leave out Pink Floyd!

I think so too. I loved them with Howe singing too, their Dangerous Age album rocked.
