I don't think a single dispensing machine is the way go in this business for convenience is everything.

You can't serve two people at a time, you have to press multiple buttons, and old people find it hard to use.

Sophistication for the sake of sophistication isn't always the best model.

For those who havent seen it:

I like them FWIW, but you're right. Old people are so fricking confused by them.

Yes, they are a pain in the arse to use.

But this is the first generation. They will learn from their mistakes and make them better over time.

Don't be that guy, bro.

Firehouse Subs uses something like that and it's terrible. All the drinks taste funny as they're inevitably mixed together to a degree.

Y'all just got those? Seriously though they have been out here for years and every place I go that has them has at least 2.

Those things are the shite. You get like 100 choices for your soda.

I hate these things. I don't eat at BK, but they have one at Moe's here. I don't even drink soft drinks, but I can't even get more ice for my tea bc there is a line of kids that take 5 mins each trying to make a strawberry/orange/grape Sunkist/Sprite suicide.

i'm old, and i hate them. they're a pain because you have to go through 4 or so steps instead of 2, and they end up causing a line because they are slow to operate. You can buy many more varieties of drink, but the decision process is time consuming, especially if you are old and feeble minded like me. we used to just push the lever for the drink we wanted, and we liked it!!! Looking even farther back, we used to just say "coke", then tell them what flavor (orange, rootbeer, etc) and someone handed us the drink of our choice.

Canes uses the same machines.

It hasn't slowed anyone down.

They have them at Firehouse Subs. I think they work well for low volume stores, McDonald's, not so much. BK should be fine, no volume in those stores...

Old people find smartphones hard to use

Who cares?

You can't stop progress because a few old people find something difficult to use

They had one at my favorite pizza buffet but the line for drinks was longer than for food and it was always breaking. Back to the old boring way now.
