FYI - Oregon Defense

The last two weeks Oregon's run defense has been terrible. A lot has been said about how they have a small d-line. I would like to mention that Oregon's entire starting defensive line is injured. We are playing our second string guys.
Dion Jordan (shoulder), Isaac Remington (ankle), Ricky Heimuli (knee) all suited up, but did not play. Wade Keliikipi didn't make the trip. Taylor Hart got hurt in the first quarter and was out. We already lost our first string safety for the season, and tonite we lost our 2nd string safety (Patterson) for the season as well. We have been wracked with injuries the last two weeks and Ducks fans are very concerned.

I've seen posts on TD about our D. I thought I would post in a new thread instead of responding in multiple threads.
Threw the FYI tag in the subject line for this very reason. Obviously this is not relevant to the Tigers, but if any of you were wondering why we've looked bad the last two weeks, here is your answer.

It's all good. Just RA to get it moved.

Not a problem for me. It looked to me like LSU or Alabama could score everytime by just running the ball. When will the starters return?

It's always some excuse with your team. Honestly, I'm tired of your team and your fanbase. I'm pulling for k state all the way.

The best teams (SEC) have depth. The top teams in the conference have a legit 8 man rotation on the d-line. The fact that you don't tells me you aren't one of the best teams. You may have the talking heads fooled but we know the truth around here.

Is this like a preemptive strike of over defensiveness?

So basically Oregon isn't deep on defense? Then that's why they're not close to being elite on that side of the ball. Top defenses rotate a lot of players and run 2 and 3 deep.

Luckily for you, Bama fricked up and lost. Otherwise ya'll would get dominated by them.

ehhh I don't know why you're apologizing. USC could put up 50 on a lot of teams if they had the ball like 30 times in a game

Looked terrible in the first 2.5 quarters but bowed up afterwards.
A physical running team can keep the ball away and limited the offense's touches.
A team like ND/KSU would be a tough matchup IMO.

they're starting to get scared because they still have Stanford, OSU and the pac 12 title game. If their defensive players keep dropping like flies I could see them losing and they'd be out of the national title game.

Marioti was unreal last night - this guy should be going to New York if Klein is going...Oregon has a bonafide stud passer for the first time...but yeah, the overall vibe of the team is starting seem rattled.
Some decent D's lay ahead for the Ducks - assuming of course, they don't have to play the broken levee that is USC.
