Their delusional hypocrsy Is tied with their arrogance as the number one reason I hate that fan base with every fiber of my being.
There is no doubt that every fan base has its loony toons, but no fan base comes close to bamas. The tree killing, teabagging, killing of another fan a few years ago......these things are a part of that schools identity. Sure any school could have one idiot fan do an outrageous act, but bama has a regular occurrence of this.
I was an LSU student in the mid 90s and our car got vandalized on a road trip to bama. THey weren't even good then. The spirit of their fan base encourages awful treatment of others. THeir attitude of thinking they are better, even when most of them never even went to school there, defines who they are.
I worked in Birmingham during the Dubose, Francione years...and the bama fans were still awful to deal with year round. I could deal with the Auburn fans..they were down to earth, but bama people stuck out as assholes.
THere may be a few bama fans that are actually decent people....I have just simply never come across one.
We treat all visiting fans at our tailgate with open arms every week....but not this week. Those turds are not welcome and I look forward to seeing them with their tails between their legs after the clock strikes 0:00.
Geaux Tigers!!

I truly believe that LSU players got caught up looking ahead after that point, and have had this Alabama game in the back of their minds for a really long time now.
man, i'm not offering excuses but when a team's OL blows up like ours did, how can you accuse them of looking ahead. shite, losing your starting LT who was hands down the best lineman we had and then 2 others created an emergency situation. it's unfortunate because we needed them big time against florida. but it is what it is. the only question i have about this game is can our OL protect mett and can they open some holes for our rb's. i guess i could also hope the team is not too hyped and mett too nervous.

Overconfidence hurts you if you don't respect or prepare for the other team like you normally would. This is the biggest game of the year for Bama so I doubt you benefit from us being overconfident. The X factor is we haven't played a close game yet and LSU has. So, a close game favors LSU especially for the home team. But since we're going to win by 3 TD's it won't matter.

I agree that injuries have been a big factor in LSU's lack of offense, but I remember that before the Auburn and Florida games, most analysts were still expecting LSU to dominate the 2nd half of those games the same way we did last year. However, those teams were embarrassed by LSU last year and gave everything they had to beat us this year. I'm not certain that our team matched the other team's intensity in those two games. Well, at least the offense seemed that way.

I have to admit that when I read your posts on the Rant, I had formed an opinion of "this is a pretty cool Bama fan" that is always glass half full for LSU and their fans...UNTIL I read your posts on the Alabama rant. You my friend are one two faced SOB.

Very subdued in Birmingham as well. Eerily quiet on the front lines. They're very concerned about this game, as they should be.

Pretend inferiority and encourage their arrogance. It should be fun in the end.

You are confusing Scoop (Bama fan) and BamaScoop(Bamatroll).

i could also hope the team is not too hyped and mett too nervous.

I'm going to the game with 2 Bama grads who have tickets but I don't have one. LSU fans have been good hosts on my other recent trips to the Bama/LSU game in BR but I'm a little nervous about what I'm hearing this year. I'm the kind of low key fan that doesn't wear team colors to an opposing stadium. Am I going to have a problem if I sit quietly somewhere and watch the game on TV even if someone figures out I'm an Alabama fan? I've never had a problem personally but I did have an Auburn friend who got jumped in an LSU bar for no reason several years ago. Granted, that was late at night in a very crowded and rowdy bar back in 1995 but it was an unprovoked attack.

There is no need to get ugly. Trash talk is all in good fun. I expect all LSU fans to be hospitable and gracious hosts.

I would be nervous to go to the game if I was a gump. Some of those drunkarses are going to be extremely butthurt if LSU loses. Extremely butthurt. For your sake, I hope the Tigers win.

You don't happen to live in a neighborhood next to Tuscaloosa Academy do you? If so, I think I may have met you before.
