Danielson is a fantastic in-game commentator. A prognosticator, not so much.

I dont see why everyone is pissed we are getting no respek. Its pretty logical to me. LSU was a much better team least year, and Bama beat us. Bama appears every bit as strong this year, and we appear to have a slightly softer defense, weaker special teams, and even less of an offense than we had last year.

So this shouldnt be a shock. If we want to gain national respect, we simply have to play better.

He was comparing McCarron to Mettenberger. He said if all RBs ate the same thing and there was no running game available....Bama can win by throwing the ball, he said he didn't think LSU could. It's a legit statement. Doesn't mean it's true, but it's hard to argue with him saying that at this point.

That said, McCarron in his 1.5 years of playing has never had a legit road game in a hostile environment against a team that can beat Bama. Florida was junk last year, Arky is junk this year, Tenn is not good, they've dodged UGA and SCar this year and last. I have seen LSU get behind in a game and claw back. I have yet to see Bama get punched in the mouth this year. I think LSU will change that and then Game On.

What he really said that there was Three Elite units that would be on the field Saturday - LSU defense, Alabama defense and Alabama offense. He said that LSU quaterback play would be the key. He knew that McCarron would perform, wasn't sure about Mett.

This is exactly what he said. My Beltone mustve cut out when he supposedly talked about the mexican part.

I didn't take it literally. The point was it was "out there". No shame in losing but I can't stand this defeatist mentality that's brewing. Thank God our players aren't as scared as some of the clowns that post here.

It will come down to McCarron's ability to handle the crowd and play well. If he struggles at all, LSU wins.

You seem to forget about the other equation in the game. We have to play offense too..

I always thought Danielson liked LSU from his commentary he just so happen want to light a fire under the LSU team so he is disrespecting them. He have said so himself that after sitting down and talking with Les Miles he would glad put his son under CLM care.

He doing it to motivate LSU.

I heard the entire segment. It was pretty accurate IMHO. The statement about the mexican restaurant was more of a contrast of the two offenses. In context, it made more sense. One could tell he has watch a lot of LSU play this season.

If you go back to last year about this time, a lot of the same things were being said. I would absolutely love to see Alabama spread it out (like Texas AM) and see how long "AJ football" would last. I do not wear purple and gold blinders, but I feel that LSU's defense is under rated and Alabama's offense is over rated. I base this simply on who each team has played. SC was hitting their offensive stride when they came to Baton Rouge. Lattimore was gonna run all over LSU...31 yards. Texas AM, top 5 offense in the country... Shut down after 1st Q. Alabama had better skill guys in 2011, OLine better in 2012. LSU better DLine in 2012, arguably more vulnerable in secondary. As far as coordinators, I would put Cheif up against anyone. He keeps LSU in ball games as he will Saturday. Offensively, between the 2 games in 2011, the Tide threw the kitchen sink at LSU and managed a late TD to a defense that was tired and selling out to get a stop. Can't see them doing anything different ( than a counter that fla had success with vs LSU) that LSU isn't prepared for. LSU offense, to believe that LSU will put the game in the hands of Mett is foolish ( and unfair to Mett and team)... I do believe you will see the option with Ware running it as well Russell Shepard being utilized as decoy or deep threat off play action. Ultimately at the end of the game if Brad Wing and Odell Beckham has good games ST wise, the Tigers can pull this out. But I don't think it's a shock the world scenario like Danielson believes.

Yeah, the worst thing about 21-0 is that people think the Tide put 3 TD's on us and nothing could be further from the truth.

That D played an unbelievable game.

I'm not certain this D is better, but I am certain they are ready and will show up big time.

Maybe some Mexican restaurant in BR should hang out a sign reading, "Eddie, T.J.: Burritos on the house, drop on in."

Even with the scare to Auburn this year I think the team thought they could just go out and beat anyone on the schedule without playing 100%. Now that they lost to Florida they realize they can't take any plays off if the want to win and especially against Alabama. From a pure talent standpoint I expect this game to be close till the end. Which team pulls it out in the end is anyones guess in my opinion. I'm still under the impression that we will have a chance to win with a few minutes left in the game. I hope it's another classic!

That is not what he said. Others above have clarified what he said. In a nutshell, he basically said the rant has been correct for the last year or so.
