"if all of Alabama's running backs ate at the same Mexican restaurant Friday night and got sick and couldn't play, Alabama would just throw the ball and still win."

By and large I like Danielson. But this comment or not he seems either bored this year or really full of himself.

Now,maybe he was just wanting to throw some raw meat to the Gumps listening in on Finebaum, but I was really surprised at his general lack of enthusiasm about this game and how superior Alabama is to LSU and how he'll wait to say who Alabama will play in the SEC CG to not upset the Georgia or Florida fans.

Alabama is certainly a fine team, but holy smokes, I'm amazed at so many media types acting like LSU is 2-6.

Danielson also sid the weekend that we played Florida that we would win going away and that it wouldnt be close and that the only game that would be close was USCe and UGA and I think we all know how those predictions turned out.

Enjoy the fact that everyone is discounting us. I don't think we have a shot either. Everyone in the country + me = big win for Tiguhs.

And I always thought so highly of him. He always seems to be one step ahead when announcing. Let's hope he is dead wrong on this one!

He is in the entertainment business. I like Danielson. It's okay that he is wrong. I forgive him.

I am not optimistic, either ... but, I do not believe this statement.

Bama will not beat us with a one-dimensional offense ... so, I say let's try this ... which Mexican restaurant do they need to go to ?

I thought he said that Alabama could still spread out five-wide and throw the ball around and have a chance. He was just contrasting the QB situation and saying if all of LSU's RBs somehow were out, they couldn't do the same thing. He did however sound very much like he was giving LSU little chance to win throughout the interview.

What he really said that there was Three Elite units that would be on the field Saturday - LSU defense, Alabama defense and Alabama offense. He said that LSU quaterback play would be the key. He knew that McCarron would perform, wasn't sure about Mett.

I've seen nothing on the field that would lead me to believe we're going to win Saturday. That said, this is LSU on Saturday Night in Death Valley. Absolutely anything could happen. Don't forget Alabama/LSU 2008: a bad LSU team took a highly ranked Alabama into OT. This is a rivalry game.

ETA: and the moments after the blocked FG during 08' Alabama was the loudest I've ever heard TS.

I'm good with that statement. Is it not true?

Alabama will not run the football with any effectiveness on Friday.

It will come down to McCarron's ability to handle the crowd and play well. If he struggles at all, LSU wins.

I like the underdog talk. Seemed to work against USCe just great
