We had a great time tailgating & in the stadium. The only jackass we encountered was a balding, fat LSU fratstar (in his own mind).

I went to College Station this weekend and the only people that were unfriendly were the bartenders.

Maybe I didn't notice the pretentiousness because I am better than most people anyway...

No, they aren't the same at all. The Aggie fans were all really nice. Way too nice, in fact... I think the worst insult we got the whole trip was "welcome to aggieland, y'all".

They were the two most obnoxiously pretentious, snotty fans we encountered. Oxford & College Station are my 2 least favorites because of the very unwelcoming fans.

Go over to the Rant and see what the comments are like, you're in a slim minority. Talk all the crap you want about CS being flat and boring and the stadium smelling like rancid bat feces all you want, but College Station gameday being unwelcoming just isn't in the realm of reality. My guess is you're projecting your insecurity.

Seriously, this is the common gripe I've heard. Fans trying to start up some heckling, getting nothing in return, and being like

You guys have some great traditions and all, but damn... that trash talking needs some work. The niceness made me uncomfortable at times. I met some pretty cool people, though.

I am sure fans act differently depending on who they're playing; I know we do.

I don't know how old you are, but back when there was a SWC, Arkansas was the only non-Texas team in it. We had to put up with some pretty tough bullshite from fans.

I haven't been back to CS since Arky joined the SEC. Maybe things are different, now, but I dunno since you all have joined us.

They're more like Alabama fans - nice and cordial when they lose but intolerably obnoxious when they win.

Ummm, no, we are known for being awesome at everything they suck at. If it weren't for Mississippi State, I'd say they are our basic antithesis.

I've been to 2 games there. One for A&M and last week for LSU. Both trips have been great.

hey man. it is very well understood on this board that LSU fans are the worst in the whole universe. even the a-hole florida fans espouse this.

I completely disagree with you. My wife and I attended the TAMU game. We found the fans and students to be very polite, respectful and helpful. Plus we attended the Auburn game and noticed the same reaction.

I only hope that our fans are as cordial and hospitable to visiting fans in Baton Rouge.
