According to Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com, the National Football League is investigating the San Diego Chargers for possibly using an illegal "Stick 'em"-like substance during their 35-24 loss to the Denver Broncos last Monday night.

Front office suspended for the year, loss of draft picks, forced to take Mark Ingram in a trade.

Add Scott Shanle. That'd really be the worst. Better yet, let's add Sed Ellis too

They are only going to fine the Titans for their DC's comments that were on the same level as their main "bounty evidence":

I'm still waiting for the outrage against the Titans for this. This was uttered almost three weeks ago, and word is that the NFL will merely fine them.

"If you are worrying about that, you are not going to go out and try and blow the guy up," Gray told The Tennessean on Thursday. "Great football players have to put that out of their mind. You have to say, 'This is my territory between the numbers, and if you throw the football you better bring the Gator truck.' And that's how you have to play. You can't play timid in the NFL."
The Gator is a vehicle teams use to take injured players off the field.

I hope Vilma's attorney is on top of this story which I imagine he is. To me, this is by far, more damaging than anything the Saints did.

Also, from Peter King's column this morning (remember, King was the guy who beat the drum the loudest in favor of the NFL):

My question to King and the other media members is this:
If there was scant evidence in June, why didn't you say so back then? Why, when you published your cover story in MARCH, did you not DEMAND evidence from the league? The league made an extraordinary claim, and extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence. The burden of proof is on the league, yet the media has and continues to give them a pass on that.
Out of all of the shite that came from the "bounty" scandal, THIS is what pisses me off the most.

I'll be interested in seeing if Tagliabue finds significant evidence of a bounty system. When the league showed several reporters the evidence in June, there was a load of pay-for-performance exhibits but few that purportedly provide intent to injure, or to entice players to injure. I hear the league has some evidence in that regard it hasn't shown -- and if that's the case, Tagliabue will have the ability to review and use such data in his decision-making process.

They didn't because they coudn't. PT is not the answer and RG knows it. I really hope on the 30th that this shite blows up in RG face. Keeping fingers crossed.

I gotta admit, I laughed my arse off on this one!

Goodell worked for Tagliabue for years. I just can't see Tags throwing him under the bus. It would undermine him as commissioner for the rest of his tenure.

What board am I on? What thread am I in? Who are you talking to?

It's even more fricked up that the league has allegedly withheld evidence up to this point...

Takes awhile to fabricate "evidence."
