Went there last night. Place is awesome. Good buddy of mine that lives in that neighbourhood forbade us from eating in the quarter and directed us to Elizabeth's. I'm forever in his debt. Had several apps. The ones that standout in my drunken memory is an oyster app with horse in the name and these jalapeño onion ring things. I remember quite well the rare hanger steak w/ chimicurri sauce I had. 'twas fantastic. Others had candied bacon burgers, smoked ribeyes, salmon and other stuff. I realize this is a horrible review. But I was drunk. Morale of the story is Elizabeth's in the Bywater is great.

It's great. Excellent fried chicken and 10x better than Jacqueimo's for the price and portions. Apparently the brunch is one of the best in the city too

I can imagine they put a hell of a lunch on. One of the boys I was with girlfriend was our waitress. She brought us pulled pork from lunch on a piece of toast as a free sampler soon as we sat down. Kind of like a suped shite on a shingle. Good stuff. I had butter beans and braised greens as my sides w/ the hanger steak. That place really impressed me. Laid back badass food can't be beat.

My favorite brunch in the city. A concierge told us about it over 10 years ago and we have been hooked since. Praline bacon and grits and grillades ftw. Used to have a dish called chicken tchoupitoulas that was the bomb. I haven't seen it on the menu the past several times I was there.

I've seen it mentioned a few times. I'm sure it's common knowledge to lots of folk. It was just new to me. That whole area over there is neat as hell.

The food was just okay the last time I went.

However, the day I ate there it was "warm" inside and there was a bit of a fly problem at our table. Overall experience made me not want to go back but I probably will.

I love it. The whole Bywater area is really putting out some great restaurants. Another place I'd recommend is Cake Cafe in the Marigny .

Been for dinner and brunch. Both were very solid and I'd go back in a heartbeat. Chicken livers ftw.
