I feel like that's been the take on Golden State for the past 10 years,
This year feels different, their top 10 players have all been at least part time starters other than Barnes who's a rookie. They are the Eric Gordon of NBA teams, if fully healthy they're pretty good.

I like how you snuck that in there

I'll believe it when I see it.

I don't believe they'll stay healthy, but this is a playoff caliber team if healthy which is not something you could say about them last season.

Much different team now with Bogut, who is one of the more underrated players in the league. Obviously health is the issue with him and Curry, but none of their teams have had this kind of potential since the Baron playoff run.

I think GSW problems will be Bogut, I agree. If he can stay healthy, they are pretty stacked offensively. But can he stay healthy?

Appreciate the optimism, but playoffs are highly unlikely.
Based on the last several years, the Hornet would need to win about 45 games for an 8 seed. That is unlikely for many reasons (youth, roster holes, teams just don't make 20 win jumps in one year very often). I will be very happy with 35+ wins.
Playoff teams:
OKC
LAL
SAS
LAC
MEM
UTAH
DAL
MINN
Hornets will be better than the Rockets, Suns, and Kings.

You forgot the Nuggets and they will be in the playoffs... I would think a top 4 seed in the west..
OKC
SAS
DEN
LAL
DAL
LAC
UTAH
GS
I think the Blazers and Grizz barely miss the playoffs.

Yep. Thanks for the catch. Was wondering why it was so hard to get to 8.

GS, SAC, and HOU will be fighting us for that 8-10 range

1. OKC
2. LAL
3. SA
4. LAC
5. MEM
6. DAL
7. MIN
Then NO, HOU, GS, SAC.
I don't like Utah or Denver. And you still have Portland and Phoenix who will be good, too.
There won't be a bad team in the west

Yea the West is pretty stacked as usual.

SAC? I like the talent, but it is as dysfunctional as their FO. As for HOU, Lin/Asik and rookies don't move the needle for me at all. Plus they will flip KMart for the best deal or just shelve him so Lamb can play. But they seem to find a way to stay around .500 every year, so you are probably right
Curious about your dislike of Utah and, especially, Denver. What do you see that has you down on them?
I really think Minnesota can make a push this year for the 4 seed. Adelman is a great coach. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I liked all of the moves that Khan made this summer. If Rubio is right when he returns, they will be very good.

Funny thing about the Hornets is that they're a mystery. Other than the fact that they're young and inexperienced (and in need of a true point guard), it's hard to predict their performance based upon anything other than those two factors. From my observation of the last two seasons, I have to say that Monty gets the most out of his team and at least makes them competitive.

i think the Hornets will be competitive...We're just too young to overtake these experienced playoff caliber teams right now. Davis and Rivers are gonna be good players (Davis in particular), but they need some time--not gonna dominate the L from day 1..Our team and our future relies heavily on those 2 guys.
...This year's team needs great play from Eric Gordon ALL season to steal one of the last playoff spots

Agree. If he misses a few games here or there, fine. But he needs to be there most of the year.
