Do we not move the ball at all when Ware is the "starting" tailback, or should I rephrase... Is it me or do we not score a TD. The last 3 games I have noticed a consistency of not scoring or not even moving the ball the when Ware starts the drive at HB. I honestly believe he has no vision what so ever as a back and out of the two "Heavy" backs we have, Hilliard is just better all the way around. Just wanted to get some inputs on this

We don't score with any RB in the game

In the last three games (2 SEC games), LSU hasn't scored many TDs at all. Ware or no Ware.

I think it has more to do with Chris Faulk than Ware.

He looked pretty good in one game. Ran like a beast. Maybe Auburn?

Ware doesn't fumble. When Hilliard and Ware are in there we lose turnovers. Not sure why, but it's happening that way this year.

I loved the guy two years ago, but Ware is is just a shadow of his former self.

The other backs like Hillard look slower and out of shape. No wonder Blue was the man at the start of the season. He was in shape and had the right mental and physical process.

Last years team was in such great physical shape because they knew they had to play Oregon and West Virginia and this year we have players (Minter)commenting about fatigue. Florida was not fatigued.

Hill may be the bright spot for us the remainder of the season.

But for those folks that don't think that we should recruit a running back this year...Look at Bama and Georgia they have two really nice running backs and they are stockpiling more.

We should offer Altee Tenpenny or make a run at another big back.

Your post holds little water IMO. The last few games LSU has been decreasing all around on offense regardless of who runs/catches/throws the ball. I think he was put in as starter against Auburn and he had some nice physical runs to keep drives alive.

Is the the best back? hard to tell
Has he produced numbers that are good this year? Not really.

Hillard is the best back IMO but in the Aunurn game he looked like he was hurt, he kind of tip-toed through wholes. The fumbles against Towson certainly hurt him a little in getting a lot of carries against Florida. Which would have helped us big time if he showed up.

Ware is pretty easily the best all-around back on the team.

His vision is fine.

The blocking is not fine.

Ware has not registered a touchdown yet - rushing, receiving or passing. However, he averages a respectable 4.6 yards per carry. He did not play against UNT or Idaho and we scored touchdowns. He played against Auburn and Florida and we scored a single touchdown in those 2 games. He played against Towson and we scored touchdowns.

I think the key is more losing Faulk and Blue, than anything Ware is doing or not doing. I would be very hesitant to put blame on any single player, particularly a single offensive player. ALL of the expected skill position stars have had problems or difficulties with either responsibilities, ball security, converting third downs, personal fouls - OBJ, Reid, Mett, Hilliard, Copeland, etc.

Its you. Anyone that can't see Ware is a talented RB that runs very hard is blind. Dude is a beast. Until we prove we can pass the ball consistently no one is going to be able to run against the better defenses.
