frick Les Miles. I'm done with him.

No man, you have to hang around at least until LSU gets some talented players that are able to execute his offense.

Scoring margin is an irrelevant metric of true offensive production when you've played Towson, North Texas, and Idaho.

Who was #1 and #2 in the nation last year in this stat? And which two teams played for the crystal ball? Who is currently ranked #1, #2 and #3? Like I said, scoring margin is the most important stat.

BS, you bring in the Messiah at QB, and you pretty much get the same caliber of play as was the case for the lst four years. Miles doesn't coach and play call to win, he does so not to lose. The SEC is not the Big Ten in the 70's and it never was at all. The pass play that they have used to the wideout right at the line of scrimmage is going to result in a pick six before the season is over as it has been so piss poorly executed every F'ing time, pull it out of the rotation totally.

We should run goal line offense every snap.

for the millionth time

we had a deep threat in RR

we had short fields

The D and special teams scored plenty points

Our O was able to run against 8 and 9 in the box which is an exception to the rule.

Yep. Someone needs to step up to lead it. OBJ stepped up the 1st game and I think he did it in the 2nd. After he dropped some balls, he lost confindence. Once a leader on the O steps in, they will be back. With Met in the Duck Blind that's not a good sign. These men have the talent but all they need is a leader on the O.

Since you like stats, maybe you should look up LSU's total offensive ranking the last 5 years. Total offensive ranking doesn't take into account defensive and special teams TD's like scoring offense does.

please no facts sir!!!!!!!!!!

It's so interesting how people can come on here and skew stats to look like they want them to. How about you look at some of these numbers and see how many points special teams have contributed to as well as the defense...I can remember multiple games over the past few years where LSU has gotten the ball on a very short field. It's the total yardage and lack of passing stats that are concerning most people.

I do blame execution more than anything yesterday. We called screens, TE passes and a fairly balanced attack. Whether the right plays were called at the right time is up for debate, but nobody here can say either way with certainty. We played poorly against a good team on the road. Beyond that, the opinions on this site on what would improve our offensive performance come mostly from football-ignorant people, relative to those making decisions.

well said sir. some people will blast you for you honesty and your objective observation. the team is young, the OL is all scrambled due to injuries and youth and the offense is struggling. that is no surprise and shouldn't be to anyoe that has played football. at the sec level, these problems will cost you games.

You have to give the defense and special teams a lot of credit for the points LSU scored last year. Field position,, kick/punt returns and turnovers played a huge role.

This is not a good team this year. This is probably the worst all around talent team that LSU has fielded in several years.

For years Les has gotten away poor coaching, game management, and play calling because the recruited talent would make his bad coaching look better.....now he is not doing a good job of coaching guys up.

I blame Les Miles 100%....He has an offensive background and our offense consistently stinks.

Put 8 in the box and make Shittenberger beat you.....is what teams are doing to us now.

I saw 2 screen passes.

Look, sure, some people go over the top in criticizing Miles. I'm not saying he should be fired. But defenses have figured out his offense. I hope his string of lucky horseshoes up his arse continue. I really do. But turning in a performance like that against a 2d yr head coach is inexcusable. Miles has been here 7 yrs. Isn't it about time the offense stopped looking lost and clock management issues were figured out? This is not new.

I haven't said that high yardage equals wins. That's the argument of the others.

How would you expect total yardage to increase on a short field? LSU has had one of the best defenses and special teams in the nation over the past few years. As far as passing stats go, how many dropped passes do we have this year and how many of those dropped passes were drive killers, amounting to less yards per game?

Your right. Coaching is over rated. The saints and brees are doing just fine without sean payton.

Agreed! Thus a lack of total yards per game, too. That's my point!

last year was ONE EXAMPLE. look back to 08 for poor rankings offensively. 5 straight years of it counting this year.

the reason we scored 38 a game last year was because of great special teams and turnovers. the offense was shite and still is

god damn, all those stats and not one single one that matters.

you don't take cupcakes into account

you don't take big games into account

you don't take the eyeball test into account

you clearly haven't watched play calling
