Not so sure about this one
Ubisoft is such a mess. They may have put a quality, complete game out since 2007. But only by accident.

Well I just heard the news today
It seems my life is going to change
I close my eyes, begin to pray
Then tears of joy stream down my face
Because I know, the new Call of Duty is only a month away...

I'll agree with you about Halo. They didn't change the game play. I just feel like they slighted the story line for mindless shooting at other people. I can't blame them since that is where the replay value is. Can we throw in ST:KOTOR since they refuse to make a third RPG?

And they say that Homefront can save us.
Im not gonna post here and wait.

a few posters don't play it. therefore, series was ruined by money.....
regardless of the fact that millions of other people around the world still buy each and every version that comes out. with numbers only increasing year by year.
.....reminds me of those friends everyone has that only listens to groups that no one has ever heard of. The one who only listens to obscure bands, shuns anything more popular than that, yet has a typical 9 to 5.
If their song is played on the radio or hits iTunes, that friend will be the first to tell you that they are the new Nickelback. You try to let them educate you on music, only to find out they are listening to some weird awful shite. Like a group of Canadian ginger rappers, rapping George Straight lyrics in Spanish, recording out of their apartment in Ohio.
I'm glad I don't read much into the advice the critics around here give or I might end playing some really weird shite just to stay as edgy as they are.
That was a long arse way to go just to remind us that you're a COD fanboi
And before you go on one of you rants on me about playing BF3 or this or that, I've been tryin to get someone to play COD for two weeks so I'm not knocking COD.

Haven't busted your balls in a while. Figured this was as good an opportunity as any

Dragon Age
Halo
Dragon Age 2 was just a bad idea executed poorly. I hope they get back to the main story in DA3.

Do some poking around, it becomes readily apparent that EA forced the Bioware team into a rush job so that they would release a "big" title soon after the buyout to recoup their expenses. The very definition of being ruined by money.
I suppose you could argue that the TITLE was ruined and not the franchise, but that remains to be seen.

quote:I've heard very good things about DA3. BioWare has proven they can make great RPG's. I'm not too worried now that they've had adequate time to build a good game.
but that remains to be seen.

Do some poking around Mass Effect 3. Nothing remains to be seen.

CoD was not ruined by money. It was ruined for me by a shitty customer base. They set out to please the figs and children. Sooo thats the type of game we can expect.
You mean a game where you aiming at vitals is just as effective as killing by aiming at toes?
I just wish they would fix FPS's so that 2 shots to the toes aren't equivalent to putting 2 shots to someone's chest. Along with getting rid of the autoaim crap that makes up for the fact you can't manuever the controller properly.

Are you arguing that Bioware's integrity as a developer hasn't been compromised from the position that ME3 is an example business at usual at Bioware? Where were you a month or two after ME3's release
I've never seen such hate for a game (one that admittedly has solid gameplay) based upon the ending.
ETA: Drewbie, I want to be optimistic about DA3 too and from the releases it sounds promising, but Bioware's recent history makes me skeptical.

I'm a huge fan of the Assassin's Creed series.
For me, the explosion of multi player is not a good thing. I like video games to get away from people, so I rarely ever do anything online. But that's where most games are going at the expense of single player games.

Take what you assume I meant and turn it around 180 degrees.

quote:I didn't hate ME3 as much as everyone else seemed to. Yeah the ending sucked and it kinda seemed like a slap in the face, but the game itself was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed playing it...until the ending. The DLC they released later kinda made it better...but only a little. ME3 is good for the ride, not the destination. Seeing as how BioWare can't exactly destroy Dragon Age 3 by putting in a bad ending, I think they can avoid screwing it up in that sense.
