I think Mike Scarborough made it up.
ok dude.
maybe he did.
IDK, dont really care.
Maybe by the end of the year if these LT problems persist and Collins remains at guard...maybe just then youll come to terms.
IMo the whole time invested thing is stupid and LC not wanting to move over is equally as stupid... a freshmen first off should be glad he's playing.. furthermore Id rather him have the attitude that hed do whatever it takes to help team... Maybe he does, we'll see.

I think either you or skike are misquoting the kid. I've heard him say he enjoys playing G many times but I've never heard him say he has no desire to play LT. That would make little sense

How's it an option if its set in stone to not happen?

that doesn't mean he isn't an option. It simply means stud or les are being stubborn for the sake of being stubborn.

Umm...Collins is an option. Just because the staff may not consider the option doesn't make it any less of an option.
And this particular option is moving a former 5-star high school LT back to that position.
Comparing that to Clement moving to WR? To say the least, that's a pretty poor counter-comparison (please note that I am not using a personal attack here).

because its not actually set in stone and the coaches have the freedom to do it.
Playing Faulk at LT currently isn't an option because he's hurt.
see the difference?

At which point in time did some of you people convince yourself that you as a fan want this team to have success and win more than the current coaching staff does????

Copeland: I had the ball
Add another entry on the list of questionable calls against LSU when it plays at Auburn.
LSU fullback J.C. Copeland claims he had possession of the ball after the botched center-quarterback exchange between Elliott Porter and Mettenberger on LSU’s first drive last Saturday, but said as he got up an Auburn player swiped it and was awarded possession.
The recovery was credited to defensive tackle Jeffrey Whitaker at the Auburn 2.
“I was on top of it and everyone could see me on top of it,” Copeland said. “I get up and one of the Auburn players said he got it.
“They (the referees) just said, ‘Auburn ball.’ ”
“We definitely had the ball in that situation,” Mettenberger said. “He (Copeland) was on top of it and my arm was around it. The Auburn defender kind of ripped out between both of us as he was getting up. It was a really unfortunate situation.”

And shep was a 5 star QB, doesn't mean he wasn't better suited to play a skill position.
Maybe la'el was just better at guard.

14:16 2nd quarter - Josh D pretends he is in a walkthrough and down blocks on the invisible man. #90 Gabe Wright comes right off his shoulder and makes the tackle in the backfield.
8:41 2nd quarter - Josh D pancakes the invisible man. Hilliard tackled for a loss inside the 5 yard line.
7:26 2nd - 3rd and 1. Lemoiner blows JD up in the backfield. Ford has to wait for Copeland to block Lemoiner since JD couldn't be bothered with all that. Ford tackled for no gain. LSU has to punt.
14:07 3rd quarter - Josh D completely whiffs on Lemoiner. Ware is forced to waste 2 seconds juking him in the backfield and bounce outside. Ware tackled for a loss.
12:30 3rd - 3rd and 3. Josh D again destroys an invisible defensive lineman while letting real defensive linemen and linebackers free to tackle Ware for no gain.
solid review.....jesus, I hate agreeing with you.
ETA: it was painful watching JD, but it was comforting to know he had to sit in film and watch it over and over and over.
I really want him to rebound and hope for the best, but I am now doubtful of the ability (as Ron White would say)

and about Copeland and the fumble - frick, i knew it. then again, Copeland knows how the game is played down in the pile. You don't let go of that thing until the refs are the ones prying it from you.

That was some b.s. on that call. JC was laying on top of the ball.

Are you changing the subject? Yes. You said Collins was not an option. He is. The coaches may not like the option for whatever reason, but Collins is an option.
Everyone has the right to agree with the coaches or not. People have the right to argue that coaches are always right, too.

I'm not changing anything. If you ask les is la'el an option at LT, he's gonna say no
Posted on 9/25/12 at 10:58 am to CharlesLSU
his constantly seeming to choose to run right by actual defenders to block nobody was weird to say the least
Posted on 9/25/12 at 10:58 am to sunnydaze
so if Josh D were to go down then it would be impossible for us to move Collins?
