will the Idaho player who worked his arse all night the week before also be a future first rounder? Should we just expect him to get obliterated by every player who has a future in the NFL?

Probably not, but I don't know about him. That wasn't me defending Josh D...he is average at LT currently. It was me saying that Lemonier being decent is the understatement of the century.

he'll be a first rounder to the rantards the same way they try to pretend any crap team we barely beat early in a season will "surprise people and finish with 10 wins this year."

I think he was talking to me.

The one good thing we can take from this is it will put a fire in his arse and he knows if he messes up like that again. He is getting replaced. At least I hope so.

NOOO. Our o-line sucked against NT in the pass protection. No one is overreacting. This O-line was rated as the best or 2nd to best in the freaking country.

I know he's said he enjoys playing G, but I can't recall saying he had no desire to play it. I highly doubt the guy would have 0 desire to play a position that is so highly coveted in the NFL.

Westen Kentucky had 6 sacks against Alabama. Who should they bench?

Lael Collins also admits he has no desire to play tackle.

Coming from the #2 OT in the 2011 class, that's a little surprising to me.

You are looking at his pass protection only and basing it off of 10 out of the 150+ snaps he has seen. His run blocking is top notch. His feet aren't quick enough for LT for pass protection. We need to scheme to not let that affect us. Chip with TE's and RB's...screens and draws to keep the ends back. That is not his fault.

I guarantee you suck at your job at least 7% of the time.

I still don't understand all the love for Dwora the Explorer by some people in this fanbase.

On the short week when Faulk got hurt, sure he was the best option for LT. But since we've had full weeks to prepare someone with more ability and been able to watch Dwora let multiple DEs get into the backfield to molest Mettenberger, how can anyone say he's still the best option.

I also had not seen this quote from Collins. I am sure he wants to start and contribute the best way he can for this team.

He is an outstanding lineman and has really advanced quickly for a sophomore, though I am really not suprised at Lael's success.

It's probably surprising to you because it isn't true.

no, it is not. he is equally garbage on running plays. He usually blocks nobody then pushes the guy making the tackle in the back.

explain away these run plays (and i stopped watching at 12:30 in the 3rd to go puke so there was many more):

14:16 2nd quarter - Josh D pretends he is in a walkthrough and down blocks on the invisible man. #90 Gabe Wright comes right off his shoulder and makes the tackle in the backfield.

8:41 2nd quarter - Josh D pancakes the invisible man. Hilliard tackled for a loss inside the 5 yard line.

7:26 2nd - 3rd and 1. Lemoiner blows JD up in the backfield. Ford has to wait for Copeland to block Lemoiner since JD couldn't be bothered with all that. Ford tackled for no gain. LSU has to punt.

14:07 3rd quarter - Josh D completely whiffs on Lemoiner. Ware is forced to waste 2 seconds juking him in the backfield and bounce outside. Ware tackled for a loss.

12:30 3rd - 3rd and 3. Josh D again destroys an invisible defensive lineman while letting real defensive linemen and linebackers free to tackle Ware for no gain.

If this staff hasn't realized it already, it likely never will.
