I'm not paid to figure out the solution. I was simply pointing out that the people who are aren't going to simply say "well no mutual open date, no game, end of story" like everyone seems to think.

no refunds will be issued. at all, it's already in the fine print, they might change for Isaac. but doubtful.

That's what I was afraid of. My parents will be thrilled.

Hopefully it won't come down to that.

Thanks Bignut. So 90 mph is about twice as bad as 60.

They will find a way to play this game. Too much revenue and potential BCS implications(some teams are separated by mere decimal points in the end) to just completely forfeit a 12th game.

I like Doc a lot and respect his opinion but I also respectfully disagree with the amount of damage that will be done. Main roads should be mostly clear or able to be cleared. I feel like most of the dead or weak shite was removed in Gustav.

Same. I like Doc as well, but I still see no damage. No damaging winds.. and no power outage.

Yeah at this point I can't see them playing the game Saturday. The biggest reason won't be the storm, it'll be long gone, but the state of Louisiana is not going to want over 90,000 people attending a game and possibly impeding emergency response and creating a possible gas shortage. Plus since it's Labor Day Weekend and there is no NFL to compete with LSU has more flexibility than on any other weekend during the season. My guess is the game is postponed until Sunday at 7. Gives LSU enough time to check Tiger Stadium, clean up any debris, and allows ESPN to set up their cameras and get their game crew in safely. It could even be Monday night as well like in 2005 but I'm guessing Les Miles is not going to want only 5 days to prepare for Washington. It would be too disruptive to the regular game week schedule and honestly unless there is significant damage to LSU and/or Baton Rouge Sunday should be fine.

That's cool and all but we're playing Saturday night. Isaac packed a pretty good punch but Baton Rouge withstood it very well.

No shot in hell this gets played Saturday.

Within 45 miles of Baton Rouge you have towns that are completely underwater. You have around a million people without power in s Louisiana. They're not going to want tens of thousands of people clogging the roads.

Depends on the PR angle. If they play up the triumph in the face of adversity angle this thing could happen Saturday.

It will be fine. I'm 15 mins from the stadium and the rain and wind has all but already stopped here. I still have power and even cable. This storm will be out of here by late tomorrow giving near a day and half and even into Saturday morn if necessary. The game is getting played.

Disagree.

BR took Issac on the chin and stood tall.

Other areas of LA might be struggling but give BR 2 days to clean up and there will be no problem to have the game here

I can see the stadium from my house, weather hasn't been terrible. Which I know means nothing. As of now I expect the game to be played as scheduled. Worst case scenario Sunday. Hoping for the best and prayers to all my Louisana citizens out there!
