9 losses? No way anyone can really think that. ESPN Radio is just trying to get a rise out of Saints fans this morning I guess.

You wouldn't think so but there's many that do just that. It's almost like some of these guys are trying to will it to happen. Like if they say it enough and start to believe it, maybe just maybe, it will become a reality. But I'm certain they will be disappointed.

What's his big reason for that prediction? I love how they try to justify it but it just shows even more how little they know about the game.

Cowherd through and through.

I remember last year, before the season, he called the Falcons "Patriots South."

The Falcons get a lot of love for a team that has done nothing. Would they be considered a big market? That could be the only explanation.

He bases everything off of the fact that a head coach HAS to mean something. He can't fathom the possibility that we can operate efficiently with losing 2 head coaches, much less 1.

Pretty sound logic when you think of things in that manor. I don't think he believes those teams are better as a whole, he just thinks we will lose games simply because our game management won't be as good, especially in tight situations. And we all know that would hurt ANY team in this league.

Can you imagine when our head (not even sure who it is now) overrules Brees at a critical point in the game?

Gonna be a fun ride!

Was he able to get Matt Ryan's nuts out of his mouth long enough to say that?

We were 13-3 last year and should have been at least 14-2, possibly 15-1. We were one stop on the road against San Francisco from most likely winning the Super Bowl as I will believe till my dying day that we would have throttled the Giants and Patriots the next 2 games.

We lost Vilma and Meachem and upgraded with Lofton. We upgraded with Spags as DC.

We don't have Payton, but Carmichael called plays last year anyway. We have Drew Brees.

Where did the Saints drop off? If, without Payton we lose 6 more games, then I'll be shocked - and that is a compliment to the organization that he has built - not a knock against him.

The Saints have the #1 offense in the NFL over the past 6 years. It is an offensively friendly league. How are we going to go 7-9?

11-5 at worst and another NFC South title unless Atlanta or Carolina just have a great season unexpectedly.

I'd rather have a interim interim HC than have Mike fricking Smith as my HC.

So really nothing new. Got to love his insight. ESPN is lucky to have him.

I'll give my forecast of Cowherd's predictions:

0-16

Bet I'll be closer than he is.
