Low carb dessert options to have at home

What are some good low carb options when you want something sweet? I have a few ideas, but want some varieties
- peanut butter
- cottage cheese and Splenda
- sugar free pudding (I don't trust myself with these in the house)
- sugar free jello
- Atkins shakes
Anything else? Not many options while trying to cut the carbs.

I use crunchy peanut butter to crave my sweet tooth while on low carb diet.

Protein shakes. Chocolate with almond butter/peanut butter and a banana.
If I have a sweet tooth, my favorite thing is to take a spoonful of peanut butter and put some Rediwhip on it.
If you're on a keto diet and not really paleo like I'm doing, then this won't work for you, but I like to take berries with some coconut milk, ice, and stevia in a blender and make a fruit smoothie.

What's the difference between Keto and Paleo?
Posted on 8/22/12 at 8:22 pm to LSUZombie
Generally speaking, Keto diets stay below 50g of carbs or so per day. Paleo is just cutting out all grains and legumes. Fruits are allowed. Encouraged, even. Most paleo people stay around 75g carbs-100g carbs/day. The body is still in a ketogenic state, but very light and modest compared to Keto diets like Atkins.

Ah. The fruit definitely gives you more options. I'm doing Keto right now to shed a few pounds. I just downed a chocolate Atkins shake. Those are pretty dang good

I bet if you put some peanut butter in a bowl and dumped one of those in and stirred it up until mixed well, you could have some delicious chocolate peanut butter.. stuff.

I almost did that, but all we had was my wife's disgusting reduced fat PB.

What brand? I'm on day 4, staying right around 2 or 3 grams per day (breath is coppery now, so I know I'm in ketosis) and will probably start doing up to 10g/day next week.

The brand is Atkins Advantage. You can find them in your grocery store (usually in the diet food section).
They come in a bunch of flavors and make an easy, healthy breakfast.

Some of the Atkins bars are pretty good too.

Sugar free jello with whip cream

Breyers has an awesome low carb chocolate/almond coated ice cream bar which is my go to when on Atkins.
I don't trust the Atkins bar with the net carb crap to me a carb is a carb. When I was on the diet I was averaging 2 - 3 lbs a week. I tried the Atkins bars and my weight loss came to a screeching halt (one per day). Got off them and started losing again. Just my opinion.

I love the Atkins products. I'm addicted to the Morning Break blueberry almond squares. I take them on trips especially when flying. I get the munchies on planes and they're great when I don't have time for a meal.

Straw or blueberries in some cream with Stevia sprinkled on the. You can also slightly freeze for a kinda ice cream treat

Substitute almond flour and stevia and you can eliminate most of the carbs from a lot of baked goods.

Ya'll just be careful with the Atkins bars and products. They're known to cause stalls if consumed fairly often.
