BTW, who is Tommen's heir?
assuming they have normal royal succession rules it would actually be Stannis (if Tommen were a Baratheon)

Stannis?
I guess.
It just occurred to me that if Tommen drops dead for whatever reason, there would be quite a mess. The Lannisters have no more males to slip on to the iron throne before the world goes to shite. Stannis is the only one left publicly claiming it (although i guess Aegon is pretty much out in the open now too - but fighting. And as far as anyone knows, Dany is missing, and still facing a huge fight for the throne (but against whom exactly if there were no Tommen?)
Hard to imagine the Lannisters (really just Cersei at this point) and Tyrells would just let Stannis waltz in there with his paltry forces and take over, but would they have a choice?

Maggy is talking about the three children and then goes into directly about the valonqar, so I feel like this is odd for her to break off and refer to any "little brother" when she was just talking about the kids...really though anythings possible
That was it -
Yeah, I can see Cersei doing some of her hateful shite to someone - or maybe Tommens cats - and he is so distraught he kills self...or he takes the blame for her actions and is murdered maybe, comes back as a wight...
In the quoted prophecy:
quote:
quote: "Gold shall be their crowns and gold their shrouds," she said. "And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."
I read that as the VQ kills the kids, then her...but I see your point, too. Nice.
Wonder about Loras...if he is really seriously wounded, and Qyburn gets a hold of him...Loras sees clues down in dungeon of what Q did to Gregor, (or is told flat out) and kills Q to escape, comes after Cersei thinking she gave the order for Q to experiment on him...

In reality, Stannis should have just paid a faceless man to kill joffrey, tommen, and myrcella to start it all off
then he would have no issues with the throne
now, if tommen dropped dead, i imagine the argument would be that Stannis is a traitor to the realm so he can't be king so they would try to find someone else to fill the role and be their puppet
or they would try to say myrcella is the queen because they like dornish rules all of a sudden

Your welcome!
Oh god please not Lancel.
He's the main Lannister male left once Tommen goes, now that Kevan is maggot food (Assuming Jaime has no interest in the Iron Throne.
ETA: house Baratheon is dead unless Gendry or Edric are legited somehow...I don't see Stannis doing that, or anyone following any of his decrees as "absentee King"
Maybe as Lord of Storms End, he can legit them, but still needs a King to recognize their status...Cersei would never let Tommen do that.
Damn that is gonna be total chaos.

but it cant be a lannister because they have no claim to the throne
it has to be a baratheon

just looked at the Baratheon Family tree: LINK
If they say Stannis has no claim because he's a traitor, ironically, the heir would be a Targaryen, unless there's some other male cousin or nephew that hasnt been mentioned in the Baratheon line

I always crack up when I see that Robert Baratheon off shoot of "Various Women" on their family tree.

Yeah plus House Lannister is primed to be knocked off. Cousin, Ser Devan is warden of the west, and doesnt seem too thrilled about it. Cersei is batshit crazy. There are lots of Lannisters still running around, but I think they will go along to get along and be happy just to hold onto Casterly Rock at all.
No legit Baratheons, so who knows what would happen? Little Tommen is the only thin thread holding this nightmare together.

Am I reading this right? IF Tommen dies, it's Stannis, if Stannis dies or is refused bc he's claimed to be a traitor, there is noone left? They would have to go with a woman, in which case it would be Myrcella and then Danny?

not Shireen?

Well if Stannis is claimed a traitor I guess Shireen would go on the same vein right? And if they were going to let women be included in the succession than Myrcella would be first, she is "Robert's child"

Lord Varys' plan is all coming together. The realm is ripe for someone to step in and seize control by the sword (or dragons).
Or is it Lord Baelish' plan for the realm to sink into anarchy?

Freaking this! Shadow queef on Joffrey, Shadow queef on a to be named and is really hard to get to, Shadow queef on Dany, Faceless man for whoever is left. GOT is done.
Oh and Shadow queef for Other commander/king
Posted on 5/15/13 at 2:54 pm to Hu_Flung_Pu
or.... Melisandre just makes shadow queefs from whomever will be up to it. Which would probably be a lot.

The only viable Lannister heir outside of the bastards is Martyn Lannister(Ser Kevan's kid). Otherwise, you have Tyrion in exile, Jaime in the Kingsguard, Lancel as a Warrior's son, Ser Kevan dead, Tyrek missing, Daven about to be murdered at the Frey-Lannister wedding(maybe Martyn too?), etc. The Casterly Rock branch of House Lannister is all but wiped out. Ironic when you realize there are still five Starks out there if you include Jon. Six with Benjen may being alive.
Not related...but is it weird for anyone to think about the fact that in Winterfell, Ned raised a Greyjoy, Targaryen, and his own Stark children?

There were four different types of king's blood in Winterfell at the start of GOT.
