I just think both events are way to important for the audience to not be focused solely on each. The RW essentially ends the War of the Five Kings. The PW sets in motion Tyrion's entire second half of the series story, another reason for Dornish revenge, and likely the betrayal of the Lannisters by the Tyrells. I think they need to do one of two things.
1. RW in episode 8, reactions in episode 9, then purple wedding in episode 10.
2. RW in episode 9. Reaction in episode 10. Then if they happen to lose viewers, they come back when word gets out that they killed off Joffrey in the very first episode of season 4. It would be pretty unprecedented to kill off a main character so early in a season.

Random complaint of the day... In this series we have seen a woman that can't be burnt, people brought back from the dead, Shadow demons, talking/time-traveling through trees, passing of souls into various animals, dragons, zombies, and a man-treeroot system. Yet we can't see someone think of a freaking healing spell for a spinal injury? I would turn evil if I was Bran. Cat was the worst character in the series and even she got a second chance. The world that poor boy lives in sucks.

this is what i said, and i really hope this happens. i texted my brother and asked him how he thinks S3 should end, and he said with sansa and LF on boat too pure coincidence.

this would be really cool too. would be one of the best premieres ever

It might be possible that the reason Dany is less affected by fire than others is due to the fact that she is azor ahai born again. Not to mention it is speculated that the Valyrians used blood magic to awaken the original dragons.

I would really like to see that but I agree that it may not happen because people would just get fed up. I don't see why they wouldn't stick with it but I don't understand people most of the time. I would think ending on such a dark note would make the beginning of season four that much better.

I still don't know why they haven't officially cast the Red Viper.

I because I've had this same discussion with some friends who also read/watch ASOIAF/GoT. I'm right there with you.

Maybe I'm just looking through I and F glasses, but I thought becoming a Greenseer/ Warg Was Bran's cure. He can run, leap, climb, fly whenever he wants and can look at anyone/ anytime (limited by fricking plants, of course)
I'd trade my spine any day for that shite...already having kids, I can say that.
Actually, only as long as I could Warg into a porn star once in a while...or at least a dog.
shite.

First off, I've read this entire thread and ladies and gentleman, .
I'm loving all of the theories and I look forward to throwing out a few of mine along with several questions, but for now, I wanted to give everyone a heads up on the new trailer premiering tonight:

I'm curious to see if/when Allister Thorne shows back up.
Posted on 2/22/13 at 6:38 pm to Bigpoppat
Where did he go? To set up one of the new forts?
Posted on 2/22/13 at 7:05 pm to CottonWasKing
Jon sent him on a ranging beyond the wall. He and Allister had an awkward exchange before he left.
Keep in mind Allisters buddy, Glendon Hewett, is commanding East watch by the sea after Cotter Pyke sailed to rescue wildings.
Hewett and Thorne don't particularly like Jon, and backed Janos Slynt (who Jon beheaded) in the lord commander selection.

I remembered Jon sending him away I just didn't remember where

didn't he tell Jon he'd come back for him as a wight?
eta: My question is where is Kyle Condon and the 600 men left to hold the ford by Roose Bolton? Or the 1000 Karstarks who left Riverrun to look for Jamie?

Dammit I guess I need a reread. Who the frick is Kyle Condon and why is he holding a ford? Is he not a Chevrolet man?
Posted on 2/22/13 at 8:24 pm to CottonWasKing
Condon was Hellman Tallhart's right hand man, IIRC and Roose put him in charge of holding the ford at the Trident right before the Red Wedding.

There sure are a lot of men unaccounted for in this series
