yea looks like they told him sit a year, he said he didn't want to and they said fine you are off the team.

now tm7 might have realized how bad he fricked up and is ready to accept his punishment

CLM looks bad in your eyes whether he kicks him off the team or allows him to stay. Good thing a USC's fans opinion doesn't mean shite.

No. Kicking off was a strong move. The right move.

Im pretty sure he was suspended indefinitely. Not "kicked off" the team.

Jefferson was suspended indefinitely as well. Look what happened to him.

I don't. Time for both sides to move on. It sucks, but that's life.

Agree 100%. Can you imagine the backlash if he comes back and gets booted again??

He may have been. But miles did not say that. He said he was no longer part of the program and won't be coming back. CLM would get skull fricked in the media and rightfully so, based on his public statement. That's my point.

Who cares about backlash? LSU has a drug policy to enforce. If this is his 3rd failed test, and he wants to sit out the year, that's the policy. If he fails another test, he's gone. What's the big deal?

I'd be proud of the character shown by a kid for paying his own way and trying to do right by a school and coach that have done so much for him. That said, I have to wonder at what point it is better for all to just move on. I will support whichever scenario plays out.

He shouldn't be allowed back unless it was his choice to leave instead of sit a year. I'm a huge TM7 fan, but once you've been kicked off the team, you've been kicked off the team. Allowing him to come back under any circumstances shows weakness and sets a bad example for future player mishaps.

Not really. TM7 would pay his own way at school, and not be on the football team at all, most likely. He would try out next year as a walk on (with the opportunity to earn a scholarship, maybe in the spring).

Letting him back would look bad for LM. He kicked him
Off the team. He stated he would not be coming back. Said nothing about a suspension. It would look like he is going back on his word. He needs to contact TM and tell him to clear up the speculation. IMO.

Kiffin would probably have named him team captain.

Right. Imagine us having to go through this all over again next year. Only it's the night before the season starts. Or the week of the Bama game. He is no longer on the LSU football team. That decision was made. He can't be allowed to negotiate and beg his way back on the team. Terrible precedent.

Dillon Baxter says no. He was sent packing earlier than TM 7 for the ganja. Much earlier.

Very simple. If he was flat out kicked off, he doesn't get to come back. Had chance and blew it. If it was his third failed test and he chose to transfer, totally different ball game. Policy is that you sit out a year after the 3rd. If he sits out, does some public speaking, keeps a good GPA while attending classes, welcome back in 2013. It's not about what we fans think is best for the team and what distractions it might cause. If he adheres to the policy and follows the rules to get back in good standing with Miles and LSU, he has every right to be a Tiger again.

And despite what anyone has heard from the friend who walks by Mathieu every day after class, no one knows how many tests he has failed except Mathieu and the coaches/administration. If Miles was going to due the dishonorable thing he would have swept this under the rug and suspended him against Towson.

I thought you started a thread after it happened suggesting CLM may have jumped the gun with dismissing TM7?

Maybe I have you confused with someone else.
