No one gives a shite what professional critics rate movies. They are out of touch with the general populace and have agendas and motives behind their ratings not to mention $$$$$.

Thanks for the review GCA. I will definitely go see Bourne and get Total Recall from RedBox.

i care what professional critics say .. at least credible ones from Time, NY Times, LA times etc.

you get to know the critics and their taste .. helps me get through the muddy water of so many projects.

This movie set itself up for a sequel in the worst way, almost at the expense of the movie itself. I give it an incomplete.

Sounds like a perfect addition to a forgettable franchise, minus Identity. Seems like they followed the mold of the 2nd and 3rd installments.

As a huge Bourne fan - of all 3 movies, one of the best trilogies ever IMO - I was a bit disappointed in it. It seemed a little slower and had way less action than the previous ones. I wouldnt call it bad, but it definitely isnt in the same class as the other 3.

FWIW, my wife really liked it.

It wasn't that bad and you kbow it. Quit being dramatic. Total Recall was good though.

I should have heeded the original poster. The movie had a lot of action but managed to stay pretty boring regardless.

The first 30 minutes or so were promising, but after that it was just a bunch of redundant action scenes with a few minutes of simplistic, boring plot lines mixed in.

My wife nudged me a couple of times when I was falling asleep.

I thought is was okay. It had potential and I thought the overall story/the motivation of the protagonist was good. Renner and Weisz both did a good job. Ed Norton's character spoke only in government/military jibberish.

Spoilers:

One major problem was pacing. A little action near the beginning, then way too much exposition and set-up. Then an awesome action scene in the house at which point I though the movie was finally going to take off and get good. But no, then it went back into slow motion.

The lack of a fight at the end was ridiculous and the chase went on far too long.

This is def true. I'm pretty tired of chase scenes. Why does every movie need one? Most are not interesting.
