Not to get political, but the one thing I liked about Barack Obama was that I thought he had a shot at getting marijuana legalized. I don't smoke, but it is embarrassing how many lives get ruined because of a drug that is legal in most of the developed world. Anything legal in Canada can't be that bad for you, eh.

As for a "pattern". In UM's last yr at Fla he had 32 players arrested in a yr and a half. Arrested. What is the pattern here, college kids smoking weed? Go talk to any student out there & you'll hear that as high..no pun...as 70% of college kids are smoking it. That's what I heard from my sons 2 yrs ago. I am not saying that makes it right,I am just defending CLM: he has 104 college aged kids on the team, NCAA rules dictate just how many hrs a wk a coach can be around a player & they all live in apt complexes or houses, not a jock dorm. And don't think that TM didn't get mentoring & counseling from LSU, lectures from former players, just good old common sense. He was punished last yr, so how many warnings does it take before it is his fault no one else's? This was incredibly selfish when you consider all the damages done to both himself & LSU. At least it happened pre season & not mid season like last yr. Suppose this hits the wk before the Bama game?

One player is not bigger than the team or the program. The end result is no different than if he blew out his MCL and was out for the season. Time for someone else to step up. Life goes on. You adapt & overcome.

This sucks, but rules are rules. Everyone knows them up front and gets more than one chance also. He screwed up, best of luck to him in the future. Time to move on.
