Well, since we are putting all BS aside in this thread...I have no idea and neither will anyone else.

He squeezed a girls arse... How does that kid of maturity have anything to do with football. In fact it might be the opposite. You don't need to have one ounce of maturity to play college football.

Some don't, but most do.

No it's not dude. Immaturity doesn't go away in a year or too. Your response tells a lot about you.

You may be onto something. Is there some kind of maturity thermometer we can stick in Mettenburger's arse so we can see if he has matured. I want to know dammit??? Has he matured. Someone tell me!!!

Well obviously he's excelled at every level of football that he's ever played, when given the opportunity. So you tell us. Why wouldn't that continue? I'm not saying that he will succeed on this level, but please tell us why he won't/can't. Other than he might not have "matured" enough....whatever the frick that means, he's a college kid just like the thousands that play on the same level as he does.

And if he hasn't matured- he will grow up fast when SEC DB's and DE's are making his position difficult.

I agree with your assessment, LSUNO. Mett has shown that he has a huge charachter flaw that COULD prevent him from being a great QB. Maybe he's grown out of it just enough to be effective. If not, all we have to do to imagine how a QB, gifted in every other way, can still be a disaster, is think back to Booty.

Being a fan, though, is like believing in Santa Claus; some fans just suspend disbelief. And they reserve their vitriolic worst for anyone who points out the truth.

Here's to hoping Mett has conquered his demons and the Tigers will role. Good post, OP.

What in the frick are you basing this opinion on?

This is why people are making fun of the OP. Other than reading some quotes here and there none of these peope have any idea of what they are talking about. Unless you are with Mett day to day, practicing with him, etc, you don't know shite about his attitude and "maturity" right now.

I do know him personally, very well. And he has grown up and matured a ton since he got to LSU. He knows his role this year and has full control of the offense. I have nothing but faith in him as a person and a player.
