y'all, don't read his stuff. He's terrible and this is why he writes it. I live in s'port and never read it.

Blue will get plenty of reps at RB this year. He was arguably the #1 guy coming out of the Spring according to Miles IIRC, and he's always used a lot out of shotgun looks.

what's sad is I bet there are some people in here who legitimately "watch film" to break down players and shite to discuss on this board.

This. Writers will put out an article saying Miles is going to put Mo Isom on the OL if that will sell papers.

y'all make it sound like im hating on ford. But, I think he's the 2nd fastest back on our team now. I also believe that Blue has the most upside of the tailbacks in our crew as of now.

Well, people doubting Blue are just color-blind.

I know there was speculation in the past Blue could change positions, but Miles has said Blue may be the best of the RBs, and the idea of Blue playing TE at his current build/weight is pretty absurd IMO.

I understand where this sentiment is coming from - the four listed - Ford isn't changing his position, an the other guys are pretty locked in as running backs - Blue is the best all around athlete and could make the transition to WR (and would likely be very effective out of the slot) - remember how effective Josh Reed was after the transition.

Having said that - I think Blue/Hilliard is the best 1-2 combination out of the backfield. Ford has the most experience, with Ware a close second (and brutal when healthy) - it is a question of numbers. Of course Hill may redshirt, so we just never know.

At his listed size, Blue could play linebacker. Although he was primarily an offensive player in HS, I'm sure he played some defense. It would be absurd to move him to any position other than WR.

Guilbeau is an idiot. He's using a false premise to make a controversial statement. Saying that Miles prefers to use 4 guys is false. He'll use as many guys that are ready to contribute, last season it just happened to be four (and sometimes five). Some years we've had only one or two primary guys, sometimes three. It just depends on the personnel.

The only reason Guilbeau claims that Miles only likes to use 4 guys is so that he can stir shite up by saying Blue should switch positions.

And he didn't mention Magee at all. Guilbeau is tough to like.

I said this the other day, the media stirs up shite so you'll continue to read it.

"OMG! Did you see what GG wrote about this person? He's nuts."

And then what do you do, read his bit the following day.

It's just to make you think that they (the media) are smarter than they really are.

Make your own opinion and leave it at that.

GG is a huge troll and all he wants is for someone to read his garbage.

I suggested he did, just based on the best players playing both ways (at least some and at least early). I defer to your memory - if he played defense at all, your recollection confirms that it could not have been anything significant.

Sure is nice to have a stable full of quality backs so we got to argue over which one is the best. I say give them all a shot. Fresh legs wear the defense out trying to stop them, make them stack the line then burn their butts with deep pass with our new and improved passing offense.

That's what I've been saying and it seems would be Miles MO.

Too many RB's is a very good thing.

Remember when Ware was suspended for the Auburn game? We were busy flipping out about the DB's because we knew we had more than enough guys at RB.

That's the position that recruiting has put LSU in. Fortunately for all of our RB's nobody has had any serious injuries, but in the event that they do, we'll have 3 to 4 guys ready to immediately step in and there will be zero dropoff in talent.
