Pre or post game eating spots that you miss? Silver Moon Cafe for me.

Got to talking about places that we miss for pre or post game meals and the place that came to mind was Silver Moon Cafe. I guess that dates me some since they have been gone a while.
How many of you here remember the place or do you have other places that you miss?

I remember riding up Airline Hwy with my Dad for my first LSU game on Oct. 25 1969 and we stopped at Bluebird's I think it was called? Also passed a couple of Hoppers' Drive-Ins.
The Roussell's in Laplace was good. And Messina's on the corner of Williams and Vets in Kenner (about 3 1/2 seconds from where I grew up)had the best Italian food and best Oyster Loaf anywhere. It's still there but just for catering.
I also remember the old Frostop on Airline Hwy in LaPlace. There is one in a strip mall on Airline at Destrehan Drive that makes the Lottoburgers just like they did in the '60s. Excellent.

Yep. Pancho's on Nicholson not far from campus and one on Veterans and on Airline at Labarre - both closed.
Also A&G Cafeteria - Piccadilly put them out of business, Roy Rogers' Roast Beef, and Ralph & Kacoos...

Chelsea's original location...leaving with double fisted 32oz Go Cups full of White Russians for the walk to the stadium!

Silver Moon was the best hangover food in the world. It was across the street from Brew-bachers on the other side of the tracks

Silver Moon was legit. I remember two friends who didn't attend LSU-or college at all-were off one day and came and met me. They wanted some grub.
We ended up at Silver Moon and they were skeptical. Afterward, they were skeptical no more.
That place was so legit.
I'm also not too proud to admit that I miss the heck out of Gatti's $5 buffet w/your ID. Oh and Great Wall was LEGIT!
EDIT: Just set a record for number of posts with the term legit included.
