I'd say mike. That's a lot of arse behind that boy. Dude is a beast and just wait until moffitt gets a hold of him.

That was my first thought also, but the kid looks great in coverage. It's almost not fair with Chavis having this level of linebacker

True. I guess it is going to depend on how he develops. He could cut up and be laron Landry. Or he could bulk up a tad and be a mingo. But he plays LB too well to move that far away. He does have good vision and coverage. This dude really looks to be quite the catch. And yeah, Chavis getting him + last year's class is unfair.
Eta: yeah I might would go outside since he's tall. Hate to waste the coverage skills. I almost wouldn't know what to do with this kid. I'd have him all over the field

I can only imagine what Chavis will do with a LB with this much talent.

Great start to an epic 2014 class

Kaub or no Kaub. Fournette or no Fournette, this 2014 class may be the best we've ever seen.

Has a feel of the 2001 class, don't you think?

Thats a MLB if I have ever seen one, Spikes is a great comparison

The way this kid is built and plays to go along with the dreads, he already looks like Kelvin Sheppard as a freaking HS sophomore.

I apologize if this was already posted bc I came late and didn't read through the whole thread but here is a nice article on him:

"After the Top Gun camp I'm shutting it down," Daub said. "My recruiting will be over and it's not going to be difficult at all. LSU and Alabama were my two biggest schools. There's really no other school that can offer me something to shake me up to make me change my mind."

That article wasn't the greatest confidence booster. It's a long time to 02/2014. Hope he sticks.

Lou Tepper would have known exactly what to do with him... he's the drop linebacker he never had.

Damn, looks like he would've committed to bama had he not visited us

I don't understand what was lacking to make you feel more confident. He didn't even mention the FL schools and they're the ones we have to worry about. He's in a Gator town. As with any kid, it will be a fight to keep him but would you rather be the school with his commitment or the one without it?
He told the Gino crew that he wants to drop some weight to play Will. He's the same size as Melvin Jones and similarly athletic. He can stay at LB. I don't agree with the 3-4 angle. He's just a pure LB. No system is wrong for him.

Yea, he said it was either us or bama. No mention of the Florida schools.

Dude was driving thru the state, decided to drop by on a whim, and commits. As the other poster said, if he had gone to Bama instead, he probably would have committed to them.
Love at first sight happems. Knew a couple that met and married over a weekend and have stayed together over 30 years, but it's really rare. Lot's of time for others to court him.
