Brandon Taylor. Really. I love anonymous guys like that, and I think his solid play is what allowed everyone else to freelance like mad. He was a grown arse man.

I was going to throw him up as a suggestion. Total bad arse. Good guy too from what I hear.

Give JJ his due. If he wasn't the favorite he was at the very least the most controversial. He will go down in Tiger lore as the single most decorated and condemned player of his era.

Similar to Roger Clemons escaping prison time JJ will be remembered as the guy who used his status to escape justice.

Assuming LSU returns to the holy grail and wins it all in 2012 Jordan Jefferson will go down in LSU history as a better-than-average QB at the collegiate level: right or wrong.

Personally, I have never liked JJ as our starting QB but for one game in his entire LSU career he played his very best in beating Ala. (the 1st time). Sad to say he also played his very worst in round 2. Ahhhhhhhhhhh..... Thank you for your 4 years of leadership Sir.

Bring on 2012! Geaux Tigers!

1) Michael Clayton
2) Honey Badger
3) Jacob Hester
4) Corey Webster
5) Jamarcus Russell
6) Glenn Dorsey
7) Sam Montgomery
8) Brady James
9) Patrick Peterson
10) Chad Jones

These are my favorites, for a variety of reasons. Clayton wasn't the best player of the past ten years, but he may have been the most important. He was the glue for the 2003 Championship team. Honey Badger is the best "football player" I think I have ever seen in college football. He has had the biggest impact over the past two years. He cost himself the Heisman award last season with some off the field foolishness. Hester was not the best player on any of the teams he played on, but he was arguably the most important on the 2007 championship team. Webster never got the credit he deserved for the impact he had in college...what a player. Russell was a physical freak, and he seemed to have a decent approach...until he went to Oakland.

Glenn Dorsey as a pure football player. Dude was amazing. Loved watching him with his flexibilty, speed, technique and strength

Matt Flynn for how he hung in there throughout the years to wait his turn, and being at the helm for the NC.

Matt Flynn.
He waited 4 years to get his chance as the #1 QB and won the 2007 NC, named offensive MVP of the BCSNCG.

Josh Reed.
Maybe it was because he was a converted RB, but
I never saw him NOT try to break the first tackle and run over people after the catch.
