We arent ab oos players, we live in a small state with very poor areas. La is loaded with athletes. you got to spread the talent around, wed be a wr, rb, db only school if we loaded up on la talent

You really need to stop posting until you learn more about LSU recruiting. The posts you made are what have ruined this board.

Sit back and digest some information before posting this crap, please.

This is weird. Just because someone is from LA and went to an SEC school doesnt mean that LSU needs them or that they should have been offered . Youre just naming guys that havent even done anything for the most part.

L'Damian Washington 6'4 195 WR from Shreveport. Could use him too.

This kid is in the 4th year at Mizzou, they throw the ball 90 times a game, and he's got about 5 career receptions. If he can't break into even a support role in a passing game that spreads it out as much as Mizzou does, why on earth would you think we could use him at LSU?

I wish there was another Lousiana school these kids could go to. Big gap between ULL/ULM and another SEC team.

Louisiana Tech is the 2nd best football team in LA college football...not even close. They destroyed Ole Miss last season and should have beaten Miss State in regulation. If the QB doesn't throw a stupid INT on 3rd down at the MSU 20 near the end of the 4th quarter, Tech has an excellent chance to win the game and not even go to OT.

BTW, hilarious war of words this week between Dykes and Mullens. Dykes said he saw no difference between Tech's talent and MSU's (I didn't either BTW). And as far as the Tech-Ole Miss game, just shows you far Ole Miss has fallen getting recruits. La Tech had much better players than Ole Miss had. Small wonder, LSU had to take a knee with 6 minutes to go against OM last year or score yet another TD

ipodking wrote "LSU has to go out of state. Louisiana doesn't produce enough QBs, Olinemen or LBs for LSU to be successful and compete for the SEC title every year"

I agree with that! Trying to think of the last good LA QB...was it Eli Manning? Berlin, both Bootys, Jefferson, etc were all rated highly and none of them panned out no matter which school they went to. Perrilloux MIGHT have panned out but hard to call him a good college QB when he threw what about 30 passes his entire career at LSU. LBers as you said is usually not a good position in LA but the last couple have been better. Correct about OL also and TE not very good either. Been a while since LSU had a good TE and R. Dickson, the last one, wasn't even from LA. LA seems to be a state for RBs, WRs, DL, and secondary guys mainly. The rest of the positions, you are lucky to pick up half of what you need to get from LA.

From outside of Louisiana looking in, it just seems that LSU has their in-state talent locked down as good as if not better than the rest of the country

Ya man look at florida and north carolina which just get destroyed by out of state school taking there talent. Loads of prospects are taken from cali, texas, mississippi, georgia, and ohio.

Out of the top 25 players in North Carolina last year 19 went out of state.
9 out of the top 10.

LSU has a fence around its boarders comparibly.

You realize LSU did recruit many of the players you listed but they made the choice to attend other schools......

I like you all are really giving some good feedback. Yes, I know LSU is doing a great job in recruiting the state. Again, hats off! Just have to stay focused and don't lose the ones we need to keep. OOS is good !!

I also found and article about players from La in the pros. LSU has done an outstanding job at putting guys on pro rosters.

I know you understand what I mean when I say "stay focused". But on the real side of things, there are still some players here in the state who could help the TIGERS out in the future.

What about New Orleans? Marshall Faulk? Wanted him to play CB.

Oh, what about these players:
Ed Reed
Reggie Wayne
Matt Forte
James Hall
Jacoby Jones
Mike Scifres - a punter, yes a punter
Marvin White
Hiram Eugene
Arnaz Battle
Demetric Evans
Chris Henry
Patrick Ramsey
Brandon Jacobs
Edgar Jones
Jason Hatcher
Peyton Manning - never had a chance
Eli Manning- never had a chance
Mike Wallace - super fast
None of the above played at LSU

And there are about 80-85 player in the NFL from La.
About 43% of the player in the NFL from La are playerd LSU. That's a really good number!

My point is, we have lots of talent here. Don't get hooked on OOS players it may come back to bit us in the rear down the line.

Did you see how bad recruiting is this year?

P.S. Do you like turtles?
