AS to the kid who graduated in 2011 on Beckwith's team....I did not do my research...but did I miss on Beckwith...You said that he could play at LSU. Come on, mistakes are made from time to time.

For the most part I give good information. Chill out dude!! Wouldn't be suprised to see Ceasar pop up on somebody's roster next season as well!

Take care and have fun!
This is kid has all of the skills to be a great SEC LB/DE and a PRO! Don't know his background, but I think that LSU would benefit from his services over the next 4 years tremendously. He proably has not had quality coaching nor weight training. Man, let Moffit work on him for a year and we could have ourselves a very good football player on hand. I would take him over Tim Williams and/or Beckwith, if he wants to be a Tiger.

6'3 230lbs of raw talent...Come on Ed, we need you to be a Tiger!!

We need young men who want to play for the LSU Tigers. Players who dream of playing in the purple and gold, players who will play hard for their home school, state and in heated wars and battles. We didn't need to be played like LC did us last year!!

I am afraid that Williams and Beckwith will dump us in the end. Just like LC!!

Tigers, Williams is a most!!! Let's go get him.

I love Tim and Beckwith, but man I really love this kid even more!! What do you think?

OverLooked LA Prospects

Posted by Bootman88 on 6/21/12 at 7:27 am
Dondre Dobbins - 6'1 200 DB/Athlete - Scotlandville- not very fast, but knows how to play the game. SEC caliber player. MS State, Ole Miss, Auburn type kid. NFL type player.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAQmMGYFbbw

Reco Beckwith 5'11 190 DB/Athlete Franklin Parish - another kid who hits hard. Ed Reed type of kid. Another mid-low level SEC type kid. www.hudl.com/athlete/940858/reco-beckwith

Nick Bickham - 6'4 240 - St. Amant - kid with more than just skills. Good kid, good football player. Always need them on the team. Could grow into a great DT player down the line. www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_05mReedEo

CJ Gatlin - 6'3 210 QB - Ruston HS...

I like you all are really giving some good feedback. Yes, I know LSU is doing a great job in recruiting the state. Again, hats off! Just have to stay focused and don't lose the ones we need to keep. OOS is good !!

I also found and article about players from La in the pros. LSU has done an outstanding job at putting guys on pro rosters.

I know you understand what I mean when I say "stay focused". But on the real side of things, there are still some players here in the state who could help the TIGERS out in the future.

What about New Orleans? Marshall Faulk? Wanted him to play CB.

Oh, what about these players:
Ed Reed
Reggie Wayne
Matt Forte
James Hall
Jacoby Jones
Mike Scifres - a punter, yes a punter
Marvin White
Hiram Eugene
Arnaz Battle
Demetric Evans
Chris Henry
Patrick Ramsey
Brandon Jacobs
Edgar Jones
Jason Hatcher
Peyton Manning - never had a chance
Eli Manning- never had a chance
Mike Wallace - super fast
None of the above played at LSU

And there are about 80-85 player in the NFL from La.
About 43% of the player in the NFL from La are playerd LSU. That's a really good number!

My point is, we have lots of talent here. Don't get hooked on OOS players it may come back to bit us in the rear down the line.

re: Louisiana Talent...OOS is OKAY!

Hey look people. I am not saying LSU has not done well with OOS recruiting. They have done outstanding!! Just don't want La kids to think that we are all about OOS players.

Hats off to the LSU staff !! They are outstanding!! Just hope they don't forget about the La kids.

Kent Shelby 6'2 185 WR - Reggie Wayne type kid
Ronald Lewis 6'0 180 ATH - can return kicks
etc.

and others who may be just as good as other OOS players that we are recruiting. I see nothing but OOS kids on tigerbait that we are recruiting and have offered. Just wondering where are the La kids?

That's all I am saying...home first, then if we have to go OOS. Oh well!

Have a great Father's Day for all of you fathers! And God Bless You!

Louisiana Talent...OOS is OKAY!

LSU, we have a lot of talent in our own state. Just looking around the SEC there are LA kids on many rosters making a difference on their team. Some of those guys should be at LSU.

Let's start with TX A&M. LA players who will start or get lots of playing time.

Jonathan Stewart 6'4 237 LB ...could really use him next season.

Floyd Raven 6'2 187 CB ...will be a starter this season. Lock-down corner.

Deshazor Everett 6'0 176 CB ...will play alot this season.

2nd Teamers
Ivan Robinson 6'3 270 DT
Gavin Stansbury 6'4 265 DE
Tramin Jacobs 6'1 180 DB

Then they just picked up Julien Obioha 6'4 255 DE from N.O...not saying these guys could start at LSU, but some of them could really add depth to make a run at the National Title.

TENN will have 4 starters
Herman Lathers 6'0 225 LB from BR
Dallas Thomas 6'5 300 OT from BR
Prentiss Waggner 6'2 180 from Clinton
Darrington Sentimore 6'3 288 D'han
...more depth

They just picked up Davante Bourque 6'3 200 RB...oh, and don't forget we lost Justin Hunter to them also. It's okay, just talking about adding depth to blow away the TIDE!

Missouri Tigers
L'Damian Washington 6'4 195 WR from Shreveport. Could use him too.

Mississippi State
Dillon Day 6'4 300 OL
Dak Prescott 6'3 220 QB...and the one I really think we missed on - Ryan Brown 6'5 240 DE. I think he is going to be an outstanding player down the line.

Florida Gators
Damien Jacobs 6'4 290 DT - JUCO kid from La.

Auburn - they have 3 goods from the boot.
Greg Robinson 6'5 315 OL - he will be ALL-SEC and a pro.
Travante Stallworth 5'9 188 WR - will produce
Trovon Reed 6'0 183 WR - will produce in his Jr. season.

There are some guys that I may have missed, but just throwing this out there to show we have talent here in our own state. Not to knock what the LSU staff is doing now, but I like my La kids.

MS State is coming into the backyard and getting some steals. I know we can't get them all. But there are some good kids who really want to come and play for LSU in-state. Let's take a closer look at some of those guys before we just jump to the OOS guys.

Anybody know what happened to Vincent Taylor kid from TX. I thought he really liked LSU and was from La. I thought we should pick him up because he really had a motor.

Tell me what you think...

Not related to Shaan Washington, but I think he has all of the skills to be a Tiger. He should be getting the attention from LSU. Just looking at some of the out-of-state players that we are recruiting. He is an in-state kid and we need to recruit our kids. When things get heated, Louisiana guys stand up for Louisiana. Out-of-State players will leave us in a heartbeat. I think this kid has the drive to be good.

And no, we are not related. Just saw his workout on youtube. He seems to be a hard worker and has the skills to be a Tiger!

2014 posted next...this is just a look at numbers and players
This kid has to be signed by LSU !! He can't leave the state, nor can Kent Shelby of Shaw. We have room! Just can't past up on very good athletes like this. Down the line it will come back to haunt us.

Shaan Washington...does he not have grades or something? LINK
6'3 215 kid who can really play the game....How is he being missed?

This kid could fill Beckwith's spot if he goes to Bama. Really like this kid! We have enough talent in the state to compete in the National Championship Game over the next 5 years.

Kent Shelby of Shaw HS, Reggie Wayne type kid and we are not recruiting him. There is so much talent in this state that every week a new name keeps poppin up. This guy needs a good look!

LINK

Another sleeper kid is Lloyd Grogan 6'2 210 SS/LB type kid. Super prospect! Man, I know we can't take everybody but there are lots of skilled players who we need to take a close look at.
LINK
Diarse, and Jefferson I agree are better than Ceaser...don't know about Lewis. I am talking about from an upside standpoint. You guys are missing it..Oh, and the kid from New Orleans is good too. Ceaser is an athlete who could even play DB. Also, Christy from Dutchtown is good too. I am sorry...

I think Ceasar would be a huge sleeper if he has grades. He runs so smooth like a Jerry Rice type kid. Look at him close...dont just look at now. Look at him for down the line.

I really like Jefferson...He is my #1 WR/DB but he is 5'11...Diarse is 5'11...Lewis is 6'0...see what I am talking about...We need 6'2-6'4 kids who can make plays...Ceaser is a long, tall and rangy kid who can make plays on the ball. Is he a top prospect now? By no means...but I can see his upside and range to be a great player down the line.

You have to sign a few sleeper every year. You can't sign all 4, 5 stars kids. Ceaser is a sleeper in the 2013 class. I am not worried about Beckwith at WR. He is an athlete who can play many spots on the field. I would say he would be a great OLB or SS...maybe WR...but dont know where he will end up. He is just an outstanding football player. He sticks out on the flim like...wow!

I remember LSU missed on a kid named Javon from Lafayette area who played for FSU and in the NFL. I remember seeing him on flim with the same talents just like Ceaser and everybody said that he could play at LSU. I have been around...Have seen alot of Louisiana football...

If Ceaser has the grades and signs with another SEC team. I dont want to hear it...I am going to say "I told you so". Even if LSU has to grey shirt him. We need the size at the WR or DB position. IF not BAMA and Auburn will kill us in the passing game....Stay turned...Good feedback on this topic...Nice list of players...

Anybody have any information on a kid from the Homua area named Williams. I think he is 6'2 200. Cant find anything on him.
Robinson is a good player, but dont you think that he is BAMA or Auburn type player. Is bama recruiting him. One thing I know about kids from Louisiana...they develop later. That's why you see players that you never heard about in high school on NFL rosters. They kids will develop into great players at the next level. They run smooth and well...We need to take care of home first...robinson may be better in some areas, but he is not from Louisiana...he does not dream of playing for the purple and gold. That makes a big difference!
Add 20-25 lbs to Ceaser...What do you see? Watch his leaping ability...his hands...his feet..He will play on sundays if he goes to the right program...it's the upside that you have to look at..he is long and rangy..local kid who will play in the purple and gold with pride! Finding players who play with PRIDE is very important...all good!
When you look at the big picture. You will see what I am talking about. There is not much out there. There are shorter guys out there who will not be able to compete in the SEC. There are a few shorter athletes who can play in the SEC, but to compete with Bama and top programs in the country. LSU will have to stay tall and rangy. Do the research...Then you will see what I am talking about. Beckwith is being recruited by LSU...and Ceaser needs to be too...he is tall and has great hands. I dont think the video shows his speed, but I think that he has an outstanding upside!

Les knows and his staff knows what their are doing. They see what the top level teams are recruiting. Look at the class of 2012..LSU is recruiting taller more rangy type guys who can play multiple positions coming out HS.

I would like to know about more tall rangy guys from the boot...Can anybody show me some players?

MISS STATE came in and got 2 from the N.O. ..one from Shaw and one from John Curtis...I dont think they were 4+ star players, but one of them in going to be great in the SEC. One is a 6'5 linebacker...

LSU needs Ceaser and Beckwith if they have the grades
Speed can be taught...sorry! Players get faster when they get stronger and learn how to run. Beckwith and Ceaser can get faster and stronger..plus they can get bigger..Beckwith could be 6'3 235 easy...great OLB size/SS or FS. I don't think he will play QB in the SEC but he will make some team a fine football player..great size for a WR or FS...Ceaser could be 6'2 205 easy...nice size players who seem to know how to play football..watch the video...Get'em Tigers!!

I just like these guys...I think that they have lots of potential.

We don't need another Marshall Faulk leaving the Bayou...
Hey, show me some video of WRs in the 2013 class from the southeast that are better than Beckwith and Ceaser...you know Beckwith could be a LB or SS maybe even a free safety...dont know his 40 time but it can't be too bad...I have never seen everybody run him down from behind...good conversation here....show me some video..if I see some better...I will re-think my judgement on the EAST Feliciana kids...open minded...but I think Ceaser and Beckwith should be recruited by LSU...dont show me Jefferson because we could not or could get him..He is for sure at the top of a lot of peoples list..after him...who else is there? I would like to know...
Not going to disagree with you on this..but I know what I am talking about...see if Alabama does not load up with athletes...every 5 star kid is not a 5 star in college. You have to able to to see growth potential..You have to able to see in the future not now..and look at what star a player is now. I think Coach Miles knows that and doesn't care about stars...I am just pointing out that these 3 young men have a chance to make it at the next level...I know Louisiana has many fine players...It would be hard to pick all three of them because of the position they play, but I am telling you...down the line if they stay health 2 of the 3 will play on Sundays. Look...they are from the same school that produced Prentiss Wagner who has started 2 years at CB for TENN...Beckwith and Ceaser are better than him...potentially!!! I know you must think I am crazy, but I know what I see...and I think they made it to the semi-finals as SOPHs...I think...dont hold me to that..Now, they may not have the mental part to play in the SEC but they are very good athletes...I think Ceaser in going to be really good...and Beckwith...Can anyone tell what these guys 40 times are?
I agree with you on the speed thing, but Beckwith is all over the place. He could be an outstanding LB or SS with his range. I have watched LSU and SEC football for over 30 years. Beckwith and Ceaser can play in the SEC..maybe not LSU but we will see! Long, tall and rangy kids who are athletes...Are going to pass on them? Hogan I question the most, but he is just as good as Ellis from Karr. And do you look at what class a player plays in when you select athletes who have ability, skills and have great potential?

I live near a kid from Sandy Creek, GA who signed with Auburn...Ceaser is better...I know this...not say you are wrong about somethings, but I too know talent and who can play in the SEC.
There are at least 3 kids on the East Feliciana HS team that LSU needs to sign in the 2013 class...I think they are can't miss players if they have grades...#1 Kendall Beckwith...outstanding athlete...LSU can't let him get away....he is an athlete SS/OLB/WR. I don't know, but he should be at the top of LSU's list for sure. Kid can throw the ball with his left or right hand..I think he is a special prospect. Nice size and aggressive. Cousin played at LSU..Well, what do u think?
LINK

#2 Tekemian Ceasar FS/WR...outstanding, great hands and leaping ability. He is just as good as many WR in the southeast with tremendous upside. LINK

#3 Devontay Hogan 6'1 170...nice CB and kick returner. Very aggressive CB will hit you! Nice feet, body control and great hands...I think he is very close if not better than the kid at KARR-Ellis. LINK

Don't know about grades and stuff on these kids, but somebody better take a closer look at them before TEXAS A&M or MISS. STATE comes in the backdoor and steals them. Also, they are Tigers!! EFHS Tigers..Don't know if we can take all three, but would like to have at least 2 of them.
