Where did JH go to college, btw?

This is a weak, weak draft and next years doesn't look that great either. I think you roll the dice and keep him on the roster for as long as you can, and then move him at the trade deadline if you can't a deal done before then.
There's not going to be a Harden level player in the next 2 drafts, I think Durant and Westbrook are open to restructuring their deals if it means creating a mini-dynasty. I think all the guys would take less money than what they can get on the open market to stay in OKC. Fish and Perk will let them know it's hard to get to the top and harder to stay there.

What would CHA do with Henderson? OKC should ask for something in return. Harden is proven, the #2 pick, whoever that may be, is not.

so let's OKC takes the #2 pick..
who do they take? beal? kidd-christ? or someone else?

Probably Beal.
I don't see anyway this deal happens though.

I don't think you can restructure in the NBA.
I would look at making the trade and adding Thomas Robinson to their front line. That would give them the ability to run a lineup of:
G: Westbrook
G: Sefalosha
F: Durant
F: Ibaka
F: Robinson
Perkins is then just your densive specialist big as other than that he sucks.

Harden is overrated IMO. He's no better than mt5 or now mt23. Marcus averages 18.7 to his 16 with similar efficiency and really everything else between the two is similar. If Marcus was on a good team everybody would know that name.

that's an awful trade for okc

Harden is way better than MT. Good lord.
Posted on 6/14/12 at 11:16 pm to Fun Bunch
He plays on a good team thats in the playoffs. Not hard for people to just assume he's better than other guys just check the stats and compare the dude aint all that.

God no, okc would take a step back w/ this team. Who'd give them bench scoring?

Would be great for the bobcats but the thunder should want more than just the pick.
IMO: #2 overall is better for OKC than Harden.

Stats are comparable, therefore, players are equal.
Gotcha.
Gotcha.

I'd love to see how you came to the conclusion that they have similar efficiency.
It ain't even close.

PG:Westbrook
SG:Seflosha
PF:T-Rob
SF:Durant
C:Ibaka
would be absouletely sick

I would pick a true center with my #2 over all.
And I would not have to pay him what Harden will make.
I can afford a FA swing man SCORER.

If I'm OKC, I like this trade. That is, if they plan on choosing Westbrook over Hardin when its time to pay up. #2 is not too shabby for getting a rookie deal.

If I'm OKC
I demand either Kemba or Gerald Henderson along with the number 2 pick other wise I wouldnt do it.
They need bench scoring with Harden leaving. If they can get Henderson, I say they take a chance on Thomas Robinson or Drummond. They wont need Beal or MKD. Perkins is not the answer at Center. He could teach Drummond and hopefully he will turn into a star instead of a bust.
If they cant do this, I wouldnt do it. Beal and MKD will never be Harden. I would just keep Harden for another year.
