This isn't shocking. Alot of small programs don't have lights. They don't get big crowds so they play afternoon games anyway, no need for them. Southeastern didn't have lights until the mid 90's when they overhauled the entire stadium.

Dude they get 15 people at their home games. No need for lights.

The minor league team Chicago Cubs didn't have lights for the longest time, they still don't have enough people to trim their poison ivy growing all over their outfield wall.

Yes, and their conference doesn't play Friday night games. They played double headers every weekend. I am guessing they'll get some more $$ for the baseball program soon. Maybe lights and a few more seats.

Joe Nathan field was completed a little more than a year ago, but it's still very much a work in progress. I'm hoping the exposure of this weekend will bring in enough donation money to start making some of upgrades.

Not only that, but the MAJOR league Chicao Cubs didn't get lights until 1988.

The OP sounds like a jackass. No need to get lights if there's not that many folks that go out to the games. I bet there are several "bigger" schools that don't have lights either

I hope so. My brother played with Joe at SB in Senk's first few years, so I'd like to see the program excel. I know my brother is rooting hard for SB, even though we are bigtime LSU fans. I am all LSU.

Tulane didn't have lights for the longest either... I'm thinking night games didn't happen until I was there in the early 2000s. Obviously had nothing to do with money and A LOT to do with the nice homes surrounding the park. They didn't want lights blaring in their backyards...

A big part of it also is night time temperatures for teams from the North. They don't play night time games, so no need for lights.

That's why they won game 2, they're used to playing double headers. We've got game 3.

That and it is probably still cold up there at night early in the season so they play games in the daytime while it is a little warmer
