Other than it being in Omaha, the format is exactly the same.

Other than the fact that prior to the CWS series you have been burning more than a handful of your starters in other CWS games making lining up pitching for the Championship series MUCH different than lining up pitching for a Super Regional in which everyone has had a whole week off?

After these supers finish, lets look at the game 2's and see how many teams throw their #3 instead of #2

Let's do that.

Link?

I saw where he said he hasn't decided on Gausman/Nola. Never saw anything on Eades.

From the Advocate this morning

Tuesday, Mainieri said Ryan Eades would start for LSU in the “if necessary” game Sunday.

I just thought I'd pile on and say that "saving" Gausman for Sunday is the stupidest fricking thing I've ever heard of. There is absolutely zero chance of that happening. None what so fricking ever. If anything, you pitch Gausman Friday to have him ready for an emergency inning if needed on Sunday. And especially since rain is in the forecast and Game 3 could get pushed back to Monday. He could easily pitch an inning or 2 on Monday if absolutely necessary.

I say pitch him Friday. But what I am 1000% sure of is that they won't be saving him for Game 3.

All indications point to Nola, Guasman, then Eades if needed....

Stony Brook is sure to let their ace rest another day after the taxing regional... PM is likely to match up Gausman with their ace....

What indications? Per the advocate it doesn't seem like PM has made his decision.

ETA: I'm w/ Hot Carl on this one. Throw our ace Friday, get the win, & have him available out of the pen Sunday/Monday if necc.

This has to be the reason why PM is playing it so close to the vest... I like the move... Match up your ace with theirs. If Nola has a good game tomorrow and we win, then we are sitting pretty with Gausman on the hil Saturday. I may be in the minority, but I'll be a little nervous if this thing stretches out to Sunday....
