Let's not forget Shep did made him look like a punk arse bitch in the Big Cat Drill. I guess he never regained the chest after that Chavis arse chewing.

posted this before but jenkins is no.4 cb. all three guys in front of him are underclassmen thus unless both starters go pro jenkins won't be starting this year or next year. three years without starting might be too much, I could see him wanting to leave but on the other hand it didn't hurt Brooks draft stock.

while I hate to see him and vinson leave, this could be a good recruiting tool to lure 5* Priest Willis.

True but Tharold Simon could easily go pro after this year, as could Tyrann.

ETA: Also the chances of someone getting injured the next 2 years are high, plus the no. 4 CB does get some PT. He'd be making a mistake to leave.

this leaves a pretty good opportunity for Dwayne Thomas/Jalen Mills/Derrick Raymond to make an early impact

I keep forgetting how much talent we actually had at that position.

Collins and Jenkins were both redshirted last year. Collins will remind everyone of Claiborne (eagle wings for arms, athletic, but surprisingly physical for his lean build). Sad to see Jenkins leave, wouldve been our dime back but I'll make the prediction D. Thomas comes in and plays our dime as a true frosh, making a 2010 mathieu-like true frosh impact on passing downs covering slot receivers. Thomas has those Mathieu instincts, but in a 6'0-6'1 170-175 frame...those two will be scary on 3rd-long covering inside with Collins and Simon outside

Or Derrick Raymond.

Thomas would be the only one that might see early playing time. Mills and definitely Raymond would need a redshirt year. Love all three but Raymond is a very raw DB and would need some refinement

Wtf??

I thought this dude was the starter in Nickel situations? This is a HUGE blow if he leaves. I'm not sure Collins is ready for the third slot...

Dude needs to calm down...he will play plenty this year and be the starter as a Sophomore next year at a premiere program. What more does he want? Better get his head on straight...he's making a huge mistake, IMO. Put your ego aside at look at the bigger picture...c'mon man.

Dwayne Thomas might be the 4th cb now. I know for a fact that Jenkins and Coach Raymond didn't exactly see eye to eye though.

I hope he doesn't go. I've been excited about him since the first day he committed.

Big loss if he leaves. He's at least shown the ability to compete for time. None of the 3 freshman coming in have shown anything aside from hs skill. Thomas is probably a better S prospect, Raymond has elite level potential but is raw and Mills is athletic but raw. Our depth this year will be hurt if Jenkins leaves. Probably means Ronald Martin plays some CB. If Mathieu and Simon leave after this year, we better hope all those recruits are ready to play.

I hope this isn't true...Jenkins has big time pro potential on him, size, speed & ball skills...I truly thought he'd be the 3rd corner...of all the freshman, Raymond has big time Claiborne like skill sets, Thomas is a bit stiff like the old Nick Saben Corners we use to have...he's more of a Safety type. You're right Simon & Mathieu are gone after next year...I'd hoped Collins and Jenkins could be the starters in 2013...hopefully this is just rumor and nothing more.

This was old news, but hadnt heard anything new on it. If so it would be stupid. Unless thomas is expe ted to beat him out, he still has a shot to be starting. He would be the 4 th cb off the bench as a rsfr. Not too shabby @ lsu.
