I have zero confidence in the committee. IF we are unable to make a run from here on out, will it cost us our national seed? Did we really need to throw 7 guys, none of which our #4 starter, if there is such a thing, McCune?

You think McCune woulda held them under 3 runs? This your first game of the year?

LSU won the SEC (the strongest conference)

What kind of a run are we talking about?

Do you honestly think losing a SEC tourney game cost LSU a national seed in light of keeping their rotation set for the regionals?

3 runs is pretty damn good. We just ran into the SEC POY... We played pretty good overall and came up short. The sky isnt falling.

Maybe not, but our chances aren't much different now than they were before today's game. Still need the same number of wins, still have our starters lined up and rested. We just won't have an extra day off now.

That's what I was thinking. We don't get the day off Friday, but nor do we have to have to play a team coming off a day off tomorrow. We would Sat. but by then we could be playing MSU again after they only get 1 day off after playing 3 straight days. Some of their pitchers would still not be available. Losing always sucks, but I don't see it being a big detriment to us.
That may of been why PM treated this like a midweek game against McNeese, Austin Peay or someone of that like

Nope. Maybe Nola should have went 3, maybe even 4 innings before being pulled. Bonvillian simply had a bad innning, which ultimately, because we were batting against one of the best pitchers in the SEC, came up short by one run.

LSU is a good team. We will do OK. Unless we blow it against OM, our top-8 seed is safe

Hooray! overreacting is fun.

We pitched our bullpen against one of the 3 best pitchers in the nation(gausman, appling) and lost by one run. I think we will be ok.

I seriously have read only two threads since the loss and they were both awful. I am not reading anymore. I don't know where these rejects are coming from but I'm not even giving them the time of day. You would think people would think about what theyre about to post about before they actually post it.

We are perfectly fine. We lost by one run after facing the hottest pitching team in the country, a top three starter, and after we threw our fricking bullpen for 7 full innings (with 2 guys who have hardly seen any SEC action I might add).

I am almost encouraged by our performance today. We are gonna be just fine. I'm going out to have a few beers and I hope everyone does the same. Tomorrow we got Gaus on the mound and he is about to rip apart some Black Bear arse.

So you're saying we should have risked injury to a a weekend starter, a freshmen who had to skip a start previously due to arm fatigue, by bringing him back a day or 2 early? To win a game that has 0 bearing on our national seed chances? Glad PM & Alan Dunn are calling the shots & not you.

Are you one of those fans that whines when Mainieri leaves a pitcher in too long?
