Maybe when men start playing soccer??
It's a chick sport or for dudes that can't play football...but, it is stealing the more bowed-up cross country runners though.

The people in this thread suggesting that they alter the rules of the sport to increase scoring are being ridiculous. A game that has been around for as long as soccer will not just fundamentally alter the rules like that. It would be like asking baseball to play with a 200 foot fence or basketball on an 8 foot goal. It's just laughable.
I really don't understand the blind hate for soccer in this country. I mean its almost strange how people that couldn't name the rules of the game claim to hate it and talk about how it's "boring"

very possible that pro soccer will easily overtake nba first and slowly nibble away at baseball.

Yeah, who the frick watches soccer?
What next, they're going to build soccer-only stadiums in major cities?

Anyone who says soccer is boring, but likes to watch baseball is a serious retard!!!
There is nothing worse than watching baseball.
And I LOVE baseball!!!

Soccer will never be popular in the US. On TV there are no breaks and not enough action. The average American has the attention span of a house fly, therefore slow sports like soccer and baseball will lose in popularity. As a participation sport, its too much running for fat out of shape Americans. American football has very short plays with breaks in between them (even if its only 45 seconds)

h.s. and club teams in louisiana are fast growing

Joe Alleva said men's soccer is the No. 4 most in-demand sport on campus, behind the big 3 for men's.
That's based on survey research they do every summer to remain in compliance with title IX.
But it won't happen. Ever.

Unfortunately for you, research disagrees.
Soccer is the second most popular sport among American males 12-22. Why do you think ESPN is investing so much in it? Because it's growing and will be one of the more popular sports in America before long.

Posted on 5/22/12 at 10:58 am to The Mick

keep men's sports at LSU heterosexual. The last thing we need is another freakin' sport that football has to carry.
