I used to make my own from scratch but there is a new mix in a bottle called gators blood that tops any I have ever made. It's new and kind hard to find, but I'm sure places like callandros, etc carry it.

I believe the Zing Zang mix is the best out there.

A healthy dollup of fresh horseradish is key.

3:1 Clamato to Vodka
Hot sauce
Fresh Cracked Pepper
Celery salt
Whorstershire
Squeeze of Lemon and Lime
Celery

Edit: I forgot fresh grated Horseradish if available. A small amount.

PS-I'll go 2.5:1 for a stronger Bloody Mary...but if you are going for a better taste 3:1 is the best. Way better than Zing Zang IMO

11/2-shot vodka
3-dashes worchestershire
3-dashes hot sauce(your choice)
1/2 lemon squeezed
1/2lime squeezed
1/2 tsp prepared horseradish
1/4 tsp kosher salt
1/4tsp fresh ground pepper
Pour all of this over ice
Fill the remainder with BM mix of your choice( Zing Zang and The new Gator stuff are probably the best).
Mix thoroughly. Garnish with any or all of the following:
Spicy beans
Pickled okra
Large olives
Celery
Butcher made beef jerky(tends to be softer than the stuff at a gas station)
Also you can rim the glass with some celery salt if you like. That's optionl

Fiance is in Bend, Oregon. Said she went to a place that has a variety of bloody marys. One is a spicy 32 OZ garnished with bacon and shrimp. Sounds fricking amazing.

What he said. Found it at Southside Produce for $4. It's fantastic. It's made in Lafayette.

Has anyone tried the bacon vodka bloody mary from Mason's? It's pretty great and it's garnished with bacon. What's not to love?
